Yeah at 31;17 when he goes back in with another color that is wet and does not smudge the previously laid color is what I don't get nor can do which is why I can't paint with watercolor which sucks!

Yeah, I just can't watercolor. I let things dry for days and when I try and layer over top of it it re activates and smudges and mucks it all up

Keep at it. The more experience you gain the more you'll learn what you can and can't do with the technique.

Some markers/ink will bleed if you do so just experiment before you put the watercolour on the piece you wanna colour

This is remarkably unremarkable. Jim should stick to pencils/inks. He's a great comics artist. Here he shows a pedestrian skills, at best. There are far better YT watercolorists to emulate.

It looks really good, and this is just the rough in/block in. If he spent more time on this and refined/finetuned it, it would end up looking perfect.
