Something that always impressed me is the way Jim Morrison (when relaxed and relatively "sober") could express himself and his ideas with careful deliberation and with an excellent vocabulary and command of the language. He might wait for long intervals before answering a question but when he did he nearly always offered a thoughtful, condensed, marvelous view of the issue; in many cases Morrison was prophetic and could envision what might happen in world culture in some distant future. In addition to everything else that he was I think he was one of the century's greatest intellects. In fact, for the Establishment, that keen intellect was as unnerving to them as his wild, rebellious persona for the simple reason that by utilizing it he met them (and bested them) in their own arena.

I agree, Savannah. Jimmy was right when he said that people would be looking for him, but won't be able to find him ever, something like that. We miss him so much because he was very special soul. There are no more people like Jimmy.

Jim seemed like a guy you could’ve talked to for hours and never want to stop. Unfortunate that he is from another lifetime that robbed him from seeing future generations.

They lived in California. California does not have common law marriage. It does have Palimony laws for unmarried couples but not common law marriage.
