Jim had such a beautiful voice. Just listening to him talk is a pleasure. Jim is my favorite singer since I first heard him back in the 60's.

My wife and I had the unique opportunity to visit Jim Reeves Museum twice. On our last visit (1983), Mary Reeves was there and I had the privilege to talk to Mary personally. Jim Reeves; a very unique gentleman with a voice like no one else. RIP Jim.

I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Jim Reeves Museum in 1993. Not only did I get to meet the incredible Mary Reeves, but found Wilma Burgess behind the cash register in the gift shop. Wilma had a nice country recording career herself.

It makes me absolutely sick to see those pictures of Jims house... and even more sick to know someone let a HomeDepot or Lowes build on top of it. One of the greatest artists of our time and this is how they treat the area.

That was NOT his house. It was a histocic house that they bought to use as a museum.

I live not far from where the museum was, pretty sad they tore it down, now sits a Home Depot on the property. Nashville is pretty out if control these days they almost gutted all of music row for hotels...Jim Reeves place was beautiful passed by it everyday when I worked Opryland.

I felt very sad to learn about the tearing down of Jim's Museum in the U.S. It's a pity that the aura of famous people like musicians lasts for a reasonably long time Then things change so also people's tastes in music. Then nostalgia sets in and plays havoc resulting in the disappearance of the musicians and their music. Many thanks to KZbin for enabling Seniors like me to get to know more about "Gentleman Jim"

That was a nice tribute, although it could of had more narrative in it, explaining the exhibits, more on the museum, and why it closed. As for his voice and his wife's, I felt they should of talked more about the extraordinary type of person he was. I truly feel his Legacy will last possibly fifty or a hundred yrs longer, than it already has. W,R, 🙏🙏🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🍪🍪🐶🐶⚾⚾.

those assholes that put the lowes or home depot in there whatever it is, disobeyed orders not to tear the place down but they did anyways in the middle of the night and never got in any trouble for it whatsoever. Jim Reeves museum at evergreen place in Madison,Tn was on the national historic places register at the time too. I went there a few times and talked with Mary Reeves she was a very nice woman. and it was a very nice place on Briley parkway.

We went from Australia just to see every thing and all about gentlemen’s Jim reeves and Jim reeves only we were shocked hardly anybody knew who Jim Reeves was . This was in Nashville The only people who knew anything about Jim Reeves was at Ernest Tubbs reacord. Shop It’s a crying shame that such legend who is so much in demand the world over has been shunned and forgotten in America. To many people like us . Hey is next to God. That shows that country music now is only time serving. They are keeping you in the dark feeding you all the crap they call music and wonder why and what is happerning to the world This music today has does not fit even in cattle class. Come today gone the next day And that is what they are produce. Jim Reeves was very good singer Hey. taught what a song ment and how to sing it.We will be visiting his memorial many more times Thank you Jim Reeves for leaving us such good music for life.

For a personal museum to operate 25 to 30 years after the passing of a beloved entertainer is about the maximum for that era. Roy Rogers told his son to operate their museum no longer than when people stopped coming. Debbie Reynold's museum had a similar story. Nothing lasts in this world. This is not Heaven. The Pharaohs of ancient Egypt gave it a great try.

Nothing last for ever but we hold on to history as long as we can. This needed to be looked after. To remember a great singer that ever came out of America known all over the world. Just not right but money talks.
