Actually, Jim Stafford had his own T.V. show in 1976. This looks like it's from the Jim Stafford Show. (I used to watch it as a kid, it was a great variety show, kind of like The Sonny and Cher Show and The Flip Wilson Show.)

I remember in the 5th grade, around 1976-1977, when this song was popular, our teacher would let us listen to records on Fridays after lunch, but she wouldn't let us play this song, because she said it was "nasty"! Of course, that just made us want to hear it even more, because we had no idea what she meant! lol

Australian AM Radio played " I Don't Like Spiders & Snakes " by Jim Stafford on high rotation in 1973. I was only 12 yrs old and just thought it was a great song, I liked the music and thought the lyrics were very funny. Until today, I didn't know that Jim was a comedian. I thought he was a Country music star. Oh man he is hilarious first and then a musician. I am now a big fan of his comedy. I've checked out his many other You Tubes and the man is brilliant.

But then I HAD to know how old she was there; 14? 16? No.... 27!
