Jim Steinman - God Has Left The Building (Early Mockup Demo, c. 2002)

Hello everyone, you'll notice I'm alive - videos will be coming out on a far more frequent basis and this time and I actually mean it because for the first time in 18+ months I actually have FREE TIME I can use to manage the channel and curate my collection, and share it - in its entirety, one piece at a time (and it didn't cost me a time, etc.)... Some people will get that reference, and if you do - I salute you! Anyway, this is probably from 2001 or 2002 - it pulls some audio from 'Graveyard Shift' which went unused in the final version, and instead of the fresh recording of the "Revels" instrumental section, it uses the original Neverland workshop tape - it's pretty hastily edited together, and the splices aren't entirely clean but it seems this was just a mockup of how the finished audio montage / instrumental soundscape would sound, you can find the final 5-ish minute version elsewhere on KZbin, but for the first time (I think) here is the early mockup, running a couple minutes longer in length. Enjoy, and you'll spot a lot of reused stuff here, because we're dealing with Steinman!

Jim Steinman was a fan of Richard Wagner. Here we can hear a synthesis by Steinmann between Wagner, Kurt Weil and Bertolt Brecht. Just fantastic. Thank you for sharing.

I'm certain it's Einladung zum Ball from the Vienna cast album without any vocals, but that's the same thing lol I have umpteen versions of this song including the backing track that was actually used in Dance
