I now personally do think spurs as a team now need to crack on and win stuff. We can’t just sack managers, pay them off with compensation and never back them when they are in charge. It a pattern for the last 22 odd years. Ironically, Conte is the first spurs managers I’ve seen really backed by Enic and even then. The frailties in our squad never seem to be addressed.

In 50 years time when people discuss the all-time best players in the premier league, Kane and Shearer will both still be in the conversation. Despite them having multiple medals, even Man Utd fans would have a hard time picking David May or Anderson out of a line-up now, never mind 50 years. If Kane does stay at Spurs another 5 years and they get a couple of decent signings, its not exactly pie in the sky they could win a trophy or two. Alternatively, he could do what Henry and Henrik Larsson did and move to a Barca or Man Utd for his last couple of seasons to get some medals

Henry won two league titles and three FA Cups at Arsenal before he left, Henrik Larsson won four SPL titles, two League Cups, two Scottish Cups at Celtic, they certainly didn't move just to 'get some medals'. Not the same. And what's going to change at Spurs in the next 5 years that hasn't happened in the last (almost) 15 years? Another Audi cup under his belt? The problem Leavy has is if he sells Kane he will need to bring in two players, one to replace his goals and one to replace his ability to drop deep and be a play maker. If they were to sell him this summer realistically how much would they get for him now? He played for many years with the likes of Des Hamilton, Clarence Acuña, Christian Bassedas, Diego Cordone, Stephen Glass, Adreas Andersson, Hugo Viana, Galivan, Maric, Kevin Gallacher, Lua Lua, Ameobi, Cort, Chopra, Ambrose etc… Even some of the very good Newcastle players of the time were hardly world beaters, big money signings or players coming in from Champions League teams. He wasn’t playing alongside Dembélé, Eriksen, Alli (in his good years), Trippier, Son, Walker, Moura, Bale, Højbjerg, Bentancur and Kulusevski

All depends on Kane's ambitions. I mean he's already broken Spurs's all time goalscoring record now. He hasn't anything left to achieve there. I think he can be forgiven for moving to a club that has more chance of winning trophies than Spurs. I mean this is his last big oppertunity of securing a move to win trophies. I can't see him going to Bayern as he'll wanna break Shearer's all time goalscoring record. I think he should join United as he'll have more chance of winning trophies with us than he does at Spurs aswell as break Shearer's all time goalscoring record. My view is more people are involved in winning a title, which is why the average person will say titles matter more. Ofc they would, it’s not exclusionary like top goalscorer. There is only 1 top goalscorer so ofc the majority will sit there and say “who cares about that”. Kane hasn’t got the bottle to leave Spurs, he’s far too happy being a big fish and a small pond thing going to a bigger club and having to prove himself against better players in a team. He’ll stay at Spurs and try to justify his decision by not winning anything by saying he is the top scorer for Spurs, he is the top scorer for England, he is the all-time record holder in the Premier League if they give trophies for that, great; but if not, he’ll go the same way as Spurs and have an empty trophy cabinet. So what will the show the grandkids?

Not sure what the big deal is kane not winning trophies. He can go to Celtic when he’s 38. Trophies galore. Trebles every year.
