The guy is an idiot, he's said in this video that City need to prove their innocent. The burden of proof in any court case is on the prosecution to prove guilt, not the other way around. The whole case lies on emails attained illegally, who's to say those are real / haven't been doctored in any way? Simon just assumes City are Guilty of all of this (even though he tries to deny that). I'd like to see some evidence (legally obtained) that proves anything like 100 charges before everyone starts the witch hunt.

I agree, been saying the same thing. No one on conspiring against them, if they have cheated and found guilty then they cheated. What's the point of having these rules that make sure every team has a fair chance if they don't use them regardless of team of status?. The only clubs with very high revenue are the likes of Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal and for good reason. Man City should not be racking in anywhere near the ammount of these clubs. One reason being they simply don't have the fan base of the likes of Man Utd. That's when it started to look fishy to me.

I'm an Exile Mancunian what lives in Scarborough now. I've supported Manchester City for 38 years. My last City game was the first game of last season v Norwich we were reigning champions and the atmosphere was pitful And 47 pound for the privilege. That was it for me. Sick of Ludicrous ticket prices, silly kickoff days and times. To many corporates and daytrippers. Sick of over inflated transfer fees and players wages, it was done with a heavy heart as City's my club, in my blood. You know what though, if we face expulsion to Div 2 I'll love it!!! Back reasonable ticket prices, 3PM Saturday kick offs, no more day trippers and corporates. Proper atmosphere again.

Indeed. City understood they were being investigated several years ago. If they have not been forthcoming with squeaky clean books for the last 4-5 years, it is because they are guilty guilty guilty. At least recent books being open would buy them a degree of sympathy and credibility "well, there were confusing finances in the past, but that is the past". A high court judge commented on cites delaying tactics, I think this COULD be done rather sooner than later, the Prems has had a preview of m.cities tactics when the inquiry was timed out, don't think that'll be allowed to happen now, ESPECIALY because they are SO keen to show that THEY can clean house, before someone else does it for them.

What is the point in FFP if it isn't going to effect any players in their playing lifetime? Simon makes some great points as always. However there’s one point where I think everyone is wrong: IF City clear themselves. Even if that happens, they’ll still be called liars and cheats from rival fans and to an extent in more subtle ways, from the media. So it almost seems like they’re damned if they do and damned if they don’t. So there really seems to be no incentive for them to try and resolve this quickly.

At least then they would have a story "oh, our books were a little complex and confusing in the past, but we have them straightened out now". There is no precedent in English football that says the second placed team would retrospectively be awarded the title, but it has happened in Italy’s Serie A. Juventus were stripped of the league title in 2005-2006 and the award was given to second place Inter Milan.

Dosent always end that way though, the old Glasgow Rangers were allowed to keep their tainted titles which were transferred to the new club (Sevco) which is an absolute disgrace that still haunts the Scottish game till this day. Hopefully Man City if proven guilty suffer the harshest of punishments which would be losing anything won in the years when these offences occurred and expulsion from the PL until they get their house in order. The fact this could take as long to get sorted could be the demise of the PL as being the top league in the world. Mud sticks.

If you get a speeding ticket you get a minimum fine, another speeding ticket you get 3 points on licence. If you get multiple speeding tickets you get your licence taken away, and potential big ban as well as a huge fine. Man City have multiple charges against them... If found guilty anything other than relegation is a parking ticket to them It will set a bad precedent that if you have money you have nothing to worry about breaking rules
