I had the pleasure of being stood at the front at this gig and I also met Jimi afterwards. For the whole set I was just stood there in complete awe seeing my 80’s hero. It is still one of the most iconic moments in my life.

What a voice, one of the best rock/pop singers ever in my opinion, in a league of his own. Anything said about Jimi is an understatement. One of my biggest regrets in this life is not getting to see Jimi Jameson in a live concert. This taught me in the cruelest fashion that whoever thinks that he can suspend any action because "there is always tomorrow" is an idiot. You never know when it might be your last chance to do something in this life.. RIP Mr. Jameson.. Every song you sang manages to give me that electrifying feeling that you get on your skin caused by pure joy and excitement..i will never stop being grateful for you and your band's music and for what it does to me..
@ColeKeleher5 жыл бұрын
I saw Jimi Jamison with Survivor in concert 4 times, the last time being in 2012, and this song is my all-time favorite of Survivor with him on lead vocals. I've actually been compared to him as far as my voice 4 times. I would have LOVED to have seen both a Jimi Jamison solo performance (meaning when he was performing his own songs) and a Survivor concert with both him and Dave Bickler, who was the lead singer on Eye of the Tiger.

Wow...this performance is totally awesome. I'm always inspired by all of his songs that he had sang with Survivor and solo. He had such an unique voice to really listen to and to understand them. The most incredible part is at 5:25 when He sneaks back on the stage and sings. It would be nice if he could do that in real life, I have always been a huge fan of his music because they help me to overcome my cerebral palsy and listening to his songs while I ride my bike. It's impossible to match him. This really is the best performance ever of a musical masterpiece and especially a lyrical one. This is about the saddest kind of loss there is- losing someone and knowing they'll never come back, but you're longing for them so much they haunt you. I write about love and death and stuff in my lyrics sometimes in fact oftentimes I write about that question that awful question "Would You Give Your Life For The One You Love?" I'm the kind who would. The only thing that matters is love.
