I like the concept of the game. But it is a trap that will take your time and money. Some people will become so engrossed they will become detached unless you communicate with them through the game. There was a series before that required the use of the actual player's blood and if it did not seep through the words written on the card to the other side you were not favored.

Great episode. I understand that if you love Magic this could be frustrating, but any more detail would have been very off-putting for people who know nothing like me; this was enough detail to learn but also in a funny framework. And if you already know about Magic -- you don't really need to be listening to this for info.

My only correction is that people do play for money in more competitive formats, but it's definitely not as good as some other trading card games (e.g., Pokemon) and would be hard to make a living off. Great episode!

Forrest has it backwards: Black is absent of light, therefore absent of color; If you place every color on a wheel and you spin that wheel, it turns white, ergo white is the presence of all color.

This is easily the most annoying episode so far and it's not Dan's fault. Jim was just plain annoying, not letting Dan give a full answer. I honestly don't have much care for MtG, but I got nothing from this episode to even hold my attention. Same 3 jokes recycled over and over, even the liquid death ad was recycled, then stories that had nothing to do with the subject matter. Just have a podcast of shit talking if that's what you wanna do. I'm normally okay with the jokes and rambling, but it went too far overboard in this particular episode.

It's called criticism, I don't want a service that I do pay for to turn from something I do find entertaining into another product I can get anywhere. I like this unique format, but if it's just going to be pointless and unfunny banter like so many other podcasts then I think it'll lose more viewers than myself.
