This was a great episode, good to see you again, Guy. This is twice now that your topic is shit I was already a little familiar with. First off - IT IS THE DAMN BIRDS. I don't know where you grew up or where your people come from, but you're absolutely right. These Cornish hybrid aint bred right. Theyre bred to get so big so fast their legs can't hold them up and they can have heart attacks if they are not slaughtered before theyre like 7 -12 weeks old. You can't get any flavor into a bird on commercial feed in 10-12 weeks, thats why its all tasteless.Different rant.. Enjoyed the Disney episode. My family was in Central Florida before Disney, my grandad was a teacher and started working weekends at the Magic Kingdom a few years after it opened (and his kids were about out of highschool) He worked Main Street, guest greeter, crowd control, that sort of odd job for a while. He had been a Cpl. in the Army Transportation Corps, was a bit of a train nerd, and eventually he got trained and certified to operate the steam trains at the park - The "WDWRR" So - if you rode the train at the Magic Kingdom on a weekend from the early 1980's to 1998, or any day between 1998 and 2003, there is a good chance my grandfather was either the Engineer or the Conductor. Back to this episode: My grandma is a cousin of a guy named Lee Cummings, who was Harlan Sanders nephew (The Colonel's sister's kid) and he started his own chain later called Lee's Famous Recipe. I haven't had it in a long time, it was good when I was younger. It got sold to Shoney's at some point, and Artemis Restaurants bought it a couple years ago. I haven't figured out exactly how Lee was related my grandma - but Henryville Indiana is within a 50 mile radius of a whole herd of Cummingses along the Ohio River - they were all over "Kentuckiana" between Evansville and Louisville. They give out the Colonel title in Kentucky for all sorts of things. My great grandfather was a Kentucky Colonel and I think he got it because at one point he was the Superintendent of Ashland Oil refineries, who make Valvoline.

40:19 Kentucky wanted to make Hunter S. Thompsom a Colonel, and he said he would only do it if they made Johnny Depp one too. They agreed and they were made Kentucky Colonels. They both were born and raised in Kentucky (the dark and bloody ground). It's funny because Hunter always had a bit of a grudge against Kentucky. He felt they ran him out, and made him join the Airforce, or face jail time. Then all these years later they wanted to honor him. He took Johnny for the ride. I wonder what HST's 11 herbs and spices were.

Used to love KFC. Could live with the fact it is overpriced and sometimes the pieces are tiny like they came from a pidgin. And they only half fill the chips. But when they shrunk the size of the gravy to the size of a thimble that was the last straw. Haven't had it since, and I tell the kids it's poison when they ask for it. Thats KFC Australia.

He sold the rights to Canada for 1 million (say it like Dr, Evil) dollars. For some reason, it was called "Scott's Chicken Villa" for a time, in Ontario. I did an essay for him in Junior High (Middle School?). Compelling individual. In his 20's or 30's he drove a car across a wooden bridge that was not up to the task and ended up in the river with a head gashed open to reveal some major skull. He hushed concerned onlookers and held his head together for a couple of hours till everything gelled up. Yup.

Tennessee Fried Chicken, Louisiana Fried Chicken, etc. while Chicken Cottage was a small time franchise cause def more than 3 of those bad boys. Anyways they were always good for a late night fight between English Afro/Carribean Youth in the finest matching tracksuit and an Angry Polish guy. Many times mayonnaise and other condiments entered the fray. Good memories or maybe it was just the cocaine. Love ya work Jim 😂🎉❤
