Bruh.. even the vikings settled there before Columbus. And besides that.. who is this 'us' being referred to? Factually inaccurate but nice thing to tell 'Muricans who have no education about the rest of the world. My ex-wife was American and she thought Scotland was a place in England. One guy told me there was too much American history to learn and their knowledge ends there. I was in a house older than his country.

I grew up reading Kipling and I loved it. I became so boring that my girlfriend told me shut up and fuck-off to India. So I went, with the idea that I would learn to speak Indian. English is still the official language of India, which is funny because it was never the official language of England. India has eleven major languages and hundreds of minor languages. Hindi is the most widespread in the north, but other states have fought the adoption of Hindi as th national language for fears of marginalisation. So I never learned Indian, or any of the other languages of half the countries in the world where I have lived. Asta la vista, baby!
