I hate it how people have the audacity to boo when people make a pedophilia joke about catholic priests. What are you booing? The fact that it happened, or the fact they said something true that you would wish to ignore?
@EpicMRPancake8 жыл бұрын
+seung-hun Seo It's actually not aimed at the generic Catholic, only at the priests that are, you know, the ones actually fucking doing it (literally).
@Chiungalla798 жыл бұрын
+seung-hun Seo Jokes about catholic priests are not about catholicism in general. That is a given. No one needs to explain that. But, and this is a huge but, catholics still need to deal with the fact that they support an organisation which is involved with child rape. And this organisation covers up child rape and prevents those priests from going to jail. The old pope has its own part in covering rapists and therefore it's not a problem of some pedophiles sneaking into the church, but a problem of the leaders allowing those perverts to go unpunished. And catholics support this organisation.
@Chiungalla798 жыл бұрын
***** "don't think you know that the church has its own country, its own police and justice system. Those priests are punished discreetly within the catholic church, those punishments are unknown." 1.) I know that the catholic church has its own country. 2.) If the punishments are unknown, how do you know about them? Or do you just assume that they happen? In one case where a high ranking official of the catholic church was caught hindering and sabotaging investigation on child rape through priests he was "punished" for a life of prayer in latin america... by the pope, with the explanation that you can't punish a so close friend of the pope. 3.) If the crime did not happen in the vatican the church has no right to demand that the priest are punished within the justice system of the vatican. Unless they have diplomatic status. If a spanish priest is guilty of mollesting children in spain it's not the responsibility of the vaticon to punish him. And preventing that he is punished in spain is a very serious crime. "which you know doesn't stand in a court of law regardless" That's actually not true in most countries of the world. There are many cases in which the testimony of the child was enough to (successfully) press charges. Especially when it comes to rape and sexual offenses "innocent until proofen guilty" does NOT work in the way you wish it does. Otherwise even semen wouldn't be sufficient evidence, since the victim could always be willing (in the case of adults getting raped). And comparing the rate of suspected pedophile priests with the average of pedophiles in the population is comparing apples with oranges. Suspected pedophiles are very likely to be fewer then pedophiles in average. Because it's very unlikely to be suspected even if you are one. Your whole argument is flawed with false facts and faulty logic. You are wrong and in denial. It's okay for me that you are, but please don't go around on the internet claiming that you know things you don't (and you can't).
@Ludak0218 жыл бұрын
+seung-hun Seo don't be daft. All yu have said is a pure atrocity of human rights. Putting Church above civilizations laws is disguising. Those pedofiles need to be put in regular prisons and judged by courts that judge regular people. Claiming that you work for God should not count you as an "crazy" or "incompetent" to face the justice.

Once you become a parent, you no longer laugh at subjects you did as a kid. You are now a protector, a nurturer, a provider. Your sense of humor and your sense of life is totally different. You are now a serious person, who only laughs at your political enemies and rich people convicted of fraud who end up going to jail.

Jimmy Car and others like Frankie Boyle are unique, you would never find headliners like these in the USA. products of a liberal comedy scene unique to the UK. It's a shame cos U.S used to make excellent comedies in 70's and 80's, but now everyone sues everyone for slander when they make a joke bout someone! Americans always say us Brits are stiff and stuck up! Well if you compare evidence like our comedy to yours I thinks you'll find it's the other way around!

Dark humour is like a kid with cancer. It never grows old. Love this shit. Jimmy Carr is great.

That is s near perfect set. It would be extremely difficult to pull that off in America at the moment due to insane pc bullshit.

Just so you all know this isn't really British humor it's just dark if you like that sort of thing, like Jim Jefferies, Frankie boyle etc.

I'll say this, Jimmy Carr is one of the best comedians I have ever seen. His dead-delivery and clever jokes cannot be matched by anyone you name; just buy his dvd's you'll see. This is comedy at its finest, and no, he does not do mainstream comedy so, he probably never be as popular in North America.

Its amazing to see how these jokes land in different countries. Almost all of these kill in the UK but quite a few are missing over there...

The joke where they booed and the joke where no one laughed at first were both handle really well by Jimmy
