With out a doubt the most beautiful reef I’ve ever seen, it just goes to show as long as you love this hobby and your animals you don’t have to have the best of equipment. Your passion and care for your pets prove that over thinking this hobby is where most go wrong, I’m so amazed and only wish I could be there looking in person. Please if you have your own channel or Instagram please let me know as you inspire me to be a better reefer.

That tank is amazing.......I’ve recently down sized my skimmer from reef octopus rated for a 400g heavily stock to a cheap Red Sea c-skim that I got off a good friend as a place holder and wow the colors of my lps’s and even the softies are way more vivid also I’m noticing a lot more pods in my main display, I think small skimmer and a well stocked refugium is the way to go!

That is a really amazing tank Marc. Thanks for showing it off for us. I wonder if you would be interested in doing a video on the monthly cost of maintaining a large reef tank? Not just the usual stuff such as food and salt but also electric costs for running it etc. Cheers Marc.
@krazed37176 жыл бұрын
The whole hobby just costs a fortune to really get up and running properly. Electricity bill is the last thing on my mind even with 3 average 4 ft reef tanks. It’s more of a time investment than anything man.I spend atleast 1 hour a day tinkering and maintaining with my main reef Ongoing costs never end... can’t even begin to explain. Plumbing, chemicals, equipment breakdowns (google ecotech return rate on some of their products), wasted money buying poor or under/overpowered equipment. There’s always new toys to try with the reef tanks to make your life or the fishes life better. What I can tell u though... is ongoing costs are going to be strangely similar if u have a 100 gallon tank or 2000 gallon tank. Everything just scales slightly higher.
@precisionoandp6 жыл бұрын
LRS Food brine, sheet a day of nori and dip it all in Dr Gs to make sure its medicated as well. Not sure on electric costs. We have six AC Units and two pools as well.

Wow there's. No Words to describe that reef tank, His philosophy reminds me of when the Eco Sytem first came out years ago where the only thing you needed was the Refugium and the Calurpa Algae with the light on the Refugium 24 hours a day on, as a matter of fact I had a 55 gallon that way and it was really Beautiful! Can't compare to this but I see what he's saying.🤗✌🌿💜

Speechless.... What a couple of gorgeous tanks! 👍 Defines the term “Eye Candy” .. Would like to know the quantity and schedule of dosing and is there a frag or grow out system? Great filming...

I dose about a gallon of each periodically through the day.
@00ninja005 жыл бұрын
by looking at a tank, if the colors are very dark, that means that tank has higher nutrients, meaning a little “dirty”. When a tank is too clean, 0 nitrates and 0 phosphates, the colors are more “bleached”, lighter neon colors. I’ve always kept a sps tank with nitrates at 20-40. Never hurt the corals. I used to just run the skimmer 12 hours a day (on a timer).

This is one sweet tank. Thanks for the inspiration. I am in the beginning of upgrading to a 350 gallon and was absolutely shocked to hear he removed his calcium reactor for dosing. I dose on my current 180gallon but expected to go to a calcium reactor on the new build. Never even considered dosing the new build. How much does he dose per day? If I could guess, I am thinking at least 250ml per day of each A&B.

Hi Jim. I filmed this with my iPhone X, using the PolypLab's Coral View Lens filter. Jimmy's already upgraded since this video to a monster tank, and recently introduced some corals and fish into it. We will have to do an update video when it is further grown in.
