Do Zada and Mirrorwing enter an infinite loop of spells if they are both on the battlefield? Or copying a spell does not count as casting? Because the copy that either one makes, will "only" target the other if chosen. Am I getting something wrong? :)

Nice, but these are these his only decks?? No part 2?? Most players have at least twice that many. Also, why would he take apart his norin? Seems like such a unique different deck with cards that dont go in other red decks. For me, when i make decks i try to use as little “staples” as possible so the deck is always unique and plays different from most other decks

I love seeing you guys play higher-powered lists. I understand that you power down decks significantly for Game Knights episodes, but the majority of all Commander players I've played with over my 10+ years in the format play things in the range of Jimmy's decks listed above. I really appreciate this little glimpse into the actual decks you guys bring to tables instead of the low-powered concoctions presented on the show.
@RazgrizAce6711 ай бұрын
I like these videos especially for new players to learn that building and playing commander decks (for most people) isn't all about winning or using the most powerful cards possible. Notice how many times Jimmy talks about how fun a deck is to play rather than how much it wins as the reason he will keep it or not.
@JOfJaZ6 ай бұрын

Thanks Jimmy and the commandzone team for producing this video! Jimmy's deckbuilding philosophy really resonates with me, casting your stuff and trying to play a board in a certain thematical way. We dont win many games as a result, especially in tables with tons of interactions where our key pieces die and we cant really win the game easily with our game plan as well, because we're trying to get a certain theme off or its just too much overkill at that point, but boy oh boy does it feel good when you get an army of angels or dinosaurs or dragons or tokens on the battlefield! My favorite of the lot is the Pako one and i'm definitely going to build it! Thanks for that one Jimmy!

That is a fascinating list of decks. It was also interesting seeing the glances of the deck lists in the video and the land counts. You run a fairly low land count for a lot of your decks, from what I saw. But that might have to do with the curve of those decks. Either way, I learned a lot watching this episode. Thank you for sharing!
@commandcast11 ай бұрын
you’re likely not counting MDFCs which take the landcount up to 36/37 for each
@lloydnoid6506Ай бұрын
@@commandcast I'd still consider 36 low. But it's a very subjective thing at the end of the day. I always go 38, almost religiously. I find with 38, I get mana flooded and mana screwed at identical rates.

Really, I would love to see the decks of Mr. Infect himself. Hello Jimmy ! I really like the concept and execution behind your Magnus the Red deck! It reminds me of my Gandalf the Grey deck! A card I would suggest to you which is amazing every time is [only if the play group is ok with it] Seismic Spike! Targeted land destruction isn't MLD and is necessary at times, the spell refunds [R][R] of the mana which could be a 'Free Spell" in your deck if your reduction is high enough. Give it a shot and let me know how you liked / did not like it!

I did exactly what you’re talking about with your Angel deck. I had a Lyra Dawnbringer deck and converted it to a Halvar, God of Battle deck. (Flavor win having a God as a Commander of Angels. 😊) Anyway, I noticed I had a bunch of cool Swords in a binder and made an equipment deck with mostly Angels for creatures. Other flavor wins are Brass Squire and Sram, Senior Edificer. A couple of non-Angels I use are Stoneforge Mystic and Phyrexian Vindicator. The card that I always want to see in my opening hand is Sigarda’s Aid. For a mono-white deck, it’s a ton of fun to play.

For me no deck is truly complete until it has an associated soundtrack, it's always fun when you can find a really good fit of song to deck.

I have a Marchesa the Black Rose deck myself, but play it entirely different. I use graft creatures and creatures that naturally enter with +1/+1 counters and abuse Marchesa's ability by sacking my own creatures to ping their life away with things like Syr Konrad or Stalking Vengeance. Cytoplast Manipulator would be great for you though. It can add counters to creatures when they ETB and then also steal those same creatures with the counters that you just gave them. Sac engines like Carrion Feeder, that add counters to themselves are also a must!
