THis had choreography done by Saroj Khan. Impressed Sadhana so much that she gifted Saroj Gold earrings and years later hired her as a solo choreographer for her own production Geeta Mera Naam. The costume is done by veteran Bhanu Athaiya who won an Oscar for her costumes for the movie Gandhi. of course the voice is that of the Amazing Asha Bhosle

This is an iconic song. The jhumka is an ornament worn on the ear. BARIELLY is a town in India. Tge dong is about a jhumka which was lost in the market at Barielly. Later a monument was constructed in Barielly to commemorate this song.

Loved your reaction Jimmy. Sadhana did have a few other dance numbers. In fact, she has another one from this very same movie 'Mera Saaya' called 'Naino wali ne'. But this is by far her most famous dance number. There is another beautiful melody from this movie which is the title song 'Mera Saaya Saath hoga' sung by Lataji. The song translates to 'Wherever you go, my shadow will be beside you'. Different parts of the song are played at different points in the movie. Sadhana is a good dancer, I’ve seen plenty of videos of her dancing. Her face changed completely, she did look like a different person and her eyes were also affected....didn’t know thyroid condition can do such damage..... I just said in the other video that Kareena does not look like her mother Babita but I feel she looks a bit like Sadhana, her aunt, with the facial expressions and and all.
