Eichel should have won the Conn Smythe. Marchessault doesn't even sniff the Smythe without Eichel feeding him glorious tap-in passes.

I'm a Vegas fan, and Marchey winning almost felt political. I love the guy, but Eichel not only set him up for numerous goals, but his defensive play is leaps and bounds beyond Marchey.

Yes, I agree 100% highly underrated. At this point, it seems like he is more of a playmaker . I predict 100 points at the end of the year. 👍🏻😁🎉

For sure, his playmaking skills are incredible!

as hope as marchy was in 2023, a part of me kinda was hoping he'd get the conn smythe and was kinda surprised he didn't.
@jimmyhockeyАй бұрын
Marchy definitely deserved it at the time but based on how Eichel is playing right now he is easily the teams MVP

@@jimmyhockey yes it was a very close race between both there really wasn't a right or wrong either way

this isn’t a sad story at all, buffalo tried to screw him but looking back, he stood up for his own health and future, is a stanley cup champion, is tearing it up on a great team in a great city, and to top it off he clears 10mil a year

I think the trade between the Sabres and GKs is basically a win-win, considering that Tuch is a playmaker in Buffalo, too. But judging by the performance of the Sabres lately, it's already starting to become more slanted to Vegas.
@jimmyhockeyАй бұрын
I wouldn’t say win win, it wasn’t the worst trade but with Jack being a franchise player and some other teams like the flames offering Matthew Tkachuk, they could’ve gotten a lot more had they handled it a little better

Good to see a Jack Eichel story video, and its great to see him succeed. Buffalo definitely screwed this up, so hopefully their scouts and continue to work miracles for the Sabres and hope they dont mismanage their next star players

one of my favorite players to watch during his college hockey days, seeing him be successful has been awesome

I live in the Buffalo area, and the Sabres are a JOKE of a franchise. Pegula eliminated the scouting department several years back and continuously meddles in its day-to-day operations. Complete incompetency from the top on down. The Sabres simply don't know how to properly build a winning culture, much less a winning team. Pegula needs to sell the Sabres to someone who actually CARES about hockey, and not from a fan-boy perspective. That being stated, I'm VERY happy for Eichel. He stuck to his guns and IMHO did the right thing for himself and for his health. Vegas definitely got the better end of the deal. IMHO Eichel will be in both the NHL and US Hockey HOF some day.

his surgery went well in vegas why couldn't he do it when he was in buffalo? its baffling to me how their management had power in what surgery he gets, its his body.
@kevinkeith711016 күн бұрын
@@janzkee Other organizations were refusing to allow him to take the surgery at the time too. It’s largely why the shortlist had grown so small with Calgary, Vegas and another one I don’t remember offhand and a large part of why Buffalo didn’t get more off of that trade too. The biggest concern was the disk coming loose a second time, a common issue with ADR, and the increase in the number of games between lower leagues and the NHL. This was also before ADR was done on an NFL player too. In the end he should’ve just been allowed to do the surgery he wanted, but there was a lot more to it than just that at the time as Buffalo was not the only place refusing to let him have the surgery he wanted, like not trying to justify this entirely but there was a legitimate concern at the time with that surgery in the NHL.
