I read his memoir and I related to his story so much. He painted a beautiful picture of his life and his parents lives! Definitely cried a few times, highly recommend everyone to read or get the audiobook because it’s a different experience hearing the vulnerability in his voice when he discusses certain chapters. 💕

Love Chelsea as an interviewer! She actually let him speak and tell the whole story! To be fair, Kimmel isn’t the only host who doesn’t let his guests talk. They’re all like that….Colbert and Fallon too. Fallon is the worst!

I don’t think Colbert is like that. He usually has well seasoned guests on who know how to interview but he will help them out, just is Jimmy Kimmel will when Diana real gets boring Oregon real them back in a little bit. I have definitely noticed that Fallon does cut them off. And to be fair, you would have to do that as an interviewer to be any good, you only have a limited amount of time to interview and get the questions out that you want answered.

I actually didn’t like how she leads with her questions. She tells the meatiest part of the story and then asked the guests for the details. She should instead ask- how did you try to find acting roles before your big break. Or something like that. It would have been a more interesting way to find out about Simu using Craigslist. And how she blurted out that he met Spider-Man when he first came to Hollywood. How about let him say who the first super hero or celebrity was?
