I am unashamedly an adult gamer, but I never got onto online gaming, playing with others, even virtual others, is just not my thing, so when my son was old enough he was one of the few children not punished by banning him from the console as he was a vicious little bugger in a fire fight & was always handy on a rear turret gun. I used to also favour duel player/split screen games like LEGO or Halo & was so pissed when they cut that option from it, but when we played games like Skyrim too, I just used to watch him & fire up KZbin if he ever got stuck. Apparently there was a pandemic, how did that work out for everyone else ?, that video is one of your best yet, well done.

Unable to afford a good PC, unable to afford multiple controllers, unable to afford multiple consoles, unable to afford two games from big companies because it is $60-90 (looking at you Nintendo), paying for online access, despising local multiplayer, being a completionist, ah-... I am an anti social (female) gamer who has been enjoying gaming a lot less since everything has gone massive multiplayer and you can't just sit with a friend/partner on the couch playing 1vs1 or co-op. I basically don't bother with consoles any more and moved entirely to PC because couch co-op was my primary reason to play on consoles. Now getting into VR where the majority of the games are single player so far 👍

Look at trying As Dusk Falls with your partner it's on Xbox Game Pass and on PC Game Pass, it's really good. A couch co-op story game where you pick choices for your characters, it's like the Telltale games.

Heaps of good single player games around though. I can't remember the last time i played a game online against/with anyone. A docked switch is also great for couch co-op games. I mean i laughed at this video, but very little of it was relevant to me cause i'm not the typical gamer.
