For those who are fans of the original Japanese dub of Dragon Ball Z, I wanted to make this version of "Unmei No Hi". I didn't grow up with it as I was only exposed to the Faulconer Productions soundtrack, but later was introduced to it through DBZ Abridged. I went back and watched the original scene with this music and could really feel how satisfying it must have been when this song finally came on. All said, I wanted to make a version that felt like it could come out today, and because I don't speak Japanese, I made it completely instrumental. I almost feel like you could call this the "Norihito Sumitomo Version" because of its use of similar instrumentation to his work in Dragon Ball Super. Also I snuck in a little bit of Gohan Angers by Mike Smith in the verses. Enjoy!

One thing I noticed recently in the narrative is that Gohan is figuratively and quite literally fighting his dad. Cell is comprised of Goku's cells, Saiyan urge of battle, the very thing Gohan is against. Goku is always pushing Gohan to become stronger and to fight in situations he doesnt want to. Cell proceeds to push Gohan until he snaps. Gohan is fighting what Goku wants him to do, and what Cell is reinforcing.
