I did this swap out a few months back. I could have sworn you had a video on this that showed me how to do it. What a pain in the backside. That being said haynes said to do the replacement from underneath but, without a hoist it is next to impossible to get enough leverage to get the starter bolts out. In terms of the intake gasket I have seen some people replace them and others reuse them. What is the story with that?

If i was doing it for a customer i would replace intake gasket. but if i was doing that job for me and the gasket look ok i would reuse it.

I re-use that manifold gasket plenty of times with no problems whatsoever.
