Just been watching your videos for 2 weeks and practicing what you teach . It works ! Played two rounds so far and I’m hitting the ball so much better all ready. I’m committing to this swing and I’ve already proven to myself that it works . Wish I would have discovered this 30 years ago . I’m sure this will help me . Thanks Jim

Just started playing golf one month ago. I stumbled onto your channel and tried your technique today and it works. I have a martial arts background, so keeping weight on a certain side was an easy concept to grasp. I took a bunch of swings today and I’m feeling more confident than ever on where I can place my shots. Thank you Jim.

I keep seeing negative comments on Jim. I’ve tried many of the KZbin teachings available. For me this one works. It felt awkward in the beginning. However after trying the other teachings randomly, mixing this one in, I personally hit the ball much more solid using this method. I’m not a young golfer however. I have arthritis especially in my fingers, really bad on my right hand, as a right handed golfer. Have to use very large grips, Jumbomax, non tapered, to even play. I’m sure there’s no method that everyone agrees on. My thinking is those that post negative comments, may be able to play using other methods, or haven’t given this method a chance. Either way, it works for me, and I have nothing to gain in any of the reviews I post, and I have many. I hope everyone plays better golf, and enjoys the game as much as I do, no matter what method works for you…..

I shot my lowest round ever using your swing today (72). It wasn't planned, it just happened. After the first drive off the number one tee, I knew I had to have a definite idea where the low spot of the swing was. All at once I knew exactly not only where the low spot was, but I could feel the center of the swing at the left shoulder. I would get aligned then just quite the mind. No thousand of swing thoughts, I never thought for a second about what my wrist were doing, really in "The Zone".

Thank you again JIm. Everything you say about conventional golf instruction is so true. Watching professionals play the way they do, using conventional setups and swing thoughts, is no reason for the amateur/social player to think he/she can replicate these movements successfully, let alone consistently.. Following your advice and instruction has totally changed my enjoyment of playing golf. The simplicity of the swing and the greatly reduced stress and strain on your body makes a massive difference. I just wish I'd found this 50 years ago. Well done and congratulations, for having the courage to break free of traditional theories and teach a method that actually helps players hit the ball better with greater consistency. If you follow this method, you will hit shots that give you so much enjoyment. The mental anguish disappears because the system is so simple. You will also have zero back pain by getting away from all that traditional weight shift and rotating. Thanks again Jim.Great instruction.

I understand your method and think its right, I do have a question, when you have your shoulders at 45 degrees closed why doesn't the ball go right of target, being closed that much.
@jimvenetosgolf
@jimvenetosgolf 2 жыл бұрын
When you set closed you are simply just gaining access to use the lead side of your body and how your lead side works is that the lead arm swings on a slightly inside out swing path. Therefore the ball does not travel well off to the right but you need to set your body closed in order to gain access to your lead side so the ball will then just follow the slightly inside out swing path.

Hi Jim, I suffer from a lower back injury that has left me without the ability to twist or stretch my lower back as a part of my swing. Went to course after watching a few of these weight forward vids and experienced utter disaster. Had never shanked a driver before but I have now as I was getting ball no higher than four feet off the ground and squirting same hard to my right at a 45* angle about a hundred yards except when trees stopped it shorter, Irons never felt good all day. But my three wood responded nicely to my closed shoulders and weight forward. Two prior range sessions familiarizing myself with this new to me technique weren’t pretty but I thought I had the concept figured out. Man was I wrong! I plan to stay the course b/c it makes sense. But how now should I go forward? Pun intended.

It is quite extraordinary; you would not think you could have such diametrically opposite instruction, as it relates to golf. But, it is true, you can literally find a dozen radically different explanations for the exact same thing. And, all of those opinions have quite a bit of relevance, and excellent points, but from a students perspective, how would you ever expect to learn the game...?

As a person who has done a dozen golf schools I can attest that Jim is spot on. Conventional golf instruction is wasted time and money. Jim’s method has me hitting balls perfectly every time. If I don’t hit it perfectly, I know exactly why it happened. No more guessing which movement caused it. It’s almost impossible to hit a bad shot because you have ZERO movement, yet the strikes actually go farther than I’m used to. Now I need to redo my club distances. What’s really great is you know where the ball is going and you can put it right where you want it. I wish I had found this 10 years ago. I could have spent all of that wasted instruction money on better wine.

You make the statement that "traditional instruction" is flawed! Now lets think about that statement, just because the folks that you have saw and experienced could not do it , doesn't mean at all its flawed! Example Curtis Strange won 2 US opens with a traditional swing and he was taught by Jimmy Ballard from the beginning! Jim promoting your "conclusions" doesn't always make the other conclusions incorrect! A good salesman never attacks his competitor product to prove his is better, but focuses on the "features" and how it can benefit the customer. BTW

All I’m saying is there is a reason why the general population struggles with the game and it isn’t lack of dedication in time or money spent. Be well!
