I'm also an idiot and accidently deleted the punishment section lol, His punishment > -10 - 2,4 Best punisher until -14 in terms of damage, it is also one of the best 10f punishes in the game, wall splats. -12 - 1+2, wall splatting mid, can punish getup kicks depending on distance. -13 - d/f+1,4 wall splats, and has slightly more range than 2,4. -14 - Ewhf if you have execution, f+1+2 has huge range and is easy mode wallsplat. -15 - d+3+4, or u/f+4 if you don't feel confident because it's safer to do. While standing punishment - -10 low jab -11 ws+4 -13 ws+1,2 offers frame advantage + damage -14 ws+2, one of few characters who has a 14 frame while standing launchrs -20 or above, crouch cancel into d+3+4 by tapping up, then d+3+4 or do a delayed hopkick by tapping u/f, then 4 slightly after.

Started Tekken with T7 and was searching for tutorial videos that Cover character-specific basics but couldn't find very beginner-friendly ones, but this one helped me out really well, way more useful than those "Character XYZ-Combo-Video"... You just actually show when to use what and that's exactly what beginners like me need. Keep up the good work!

to address what you said at 6:43, would be using 2, 1 as a punish is +6 on hit so you can continue your mix ups and pressure
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
yeah but, a knockdown/wallsplat is much more favourable since you're not trading damage for it, most frame advantages usually do more damage e.g. Mishima 1,2,2 does more than 1,1,2 but the knock down is more favourable.
@jokauk49957 жыл бұрын
yes but your wake up/oki options are much more different when using a mishima, jin is not exactly a true mishima, the fact that they nerfed f4 makes his oki game much more risky. so unless you are at the wall or are being rushed down for me 2,1 is more favourable because you can continue to harass imo.
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
Well, if they're on the floor, worst thing happens is you eat a getup kick if you're careless, 2,4 and see what they do, if they stay on the floor, ff+4 will hit them and beat get up kicks, i prefer guaranteed damage, and pressure rather than sacrifice damage for potential damage.
@jokauk49957 жыл бұрын
The opponent can get a counter hit 3 on you which can counter hit launch and a get up 4 which jin cant punish properly unless he uses his parry. Bare in mind being hit by those options will stop your momentum. The point of using 2,1 is to trap them and have them deal with jins ff3 db4 and other mixs up after the 2,1. i dont disagree with the fact that 2,4 is a great punisher im just saying 2,1 is a very viable option also.

Nice Guide. Gave a thumbs up. Though if i may be so bold, i think you overlooked something. If you get a launcher like cd1 up/forward 4 or down3+4 you can combo into 4 for a screw and still connect your rage drive.
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
yer I forgot about that, any moves that do 2 hits or less allows you to connect a rage drive for nice damages + wall carry.
@xXANNIAL8ORXx7 жыл бұрын
A high damage consistent combo from cd1 and while rising 2 is EWHF, B-F 2,3, F 3 screw, B 3, F 1,2. And for the rage drive combos, the best consistent one is cd1 or while rising 2, d+b 3 screw, full rage drive.
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
You need to land ewhf every single time for that combo to work, so the b+3,f,1 is a better option for people learning the character.

input f+4, hold forward, this transitions into the stance, hold d/f, and once it goes into a crouch dash, hold back. This requires practice, so start off slow, and gradually increase the speed.

You can do a much more higher damage combo with the rage drive Down 3+4 then 4 and then rage drive. Try it out for yourself. Ewhf is not the only launcher for the rage drive
@xenvj6 жыл бұрын
Sigh. Optimize rage drive usage please. that doesnt give alot of wall carry. It may deal more dmg but it isnt that good for every situation other than dmg
@Dante30857 жыл бұрын
Finishing a juggle combo (on the corkscrew) with "3 + 4" is very damaging and creates space. Maybe useful.
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
It only does 34 damage for 2 hits, b+3,2,1 does 52, it also offers better carry, you can also do b+3,f+1+2 for a high wallsplat allowing you to dash into a wall combo e.g. standing 2, into d/b+2,2,3
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
Also d/b+2,2,3 if you're looking for an easier ender does more damage than 3+4, also I haven't tested yet but I don't think you get the follow up in a juggle anymore in FR.
@xXANNIAL8ORXx7 жыл бұрын
Autoswitched if combos have too many hits before the screw the typical enders wont land, which you'd use either 3+4, EWHF, or B 2,1 for carry
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
combos won't have too many hits if you optimise it properly. But yeah, b+2,1 if the combo is very long.
@xXANNIAL8ORXx7 жыл бұрын
Autoswitched there is one combo with alot of hits that is very well optimized with alot of hits, i think its his max damage but not sure.

If u want a good dmg Combo on any high launchers like u+4 or d+3+4, try to hit a b+3, 4 into d+1+2, 3+4 into b+3f, 1,2. Can get to 90 dmg with wall Combo. Enjoy 😉
@naweidamiri77337 жыл бұрын
Also if u skip the b3 after the launcher and do 4, you can go into a rage drive that will most likeöy wall carry. There u can go for 100+ dmg

Nice video, it's helpful. Hope you don't mind me asking , but I'm having a lot of trouble on oki. I get hit way too much by opponents using their ground or wake up moves (not sure what they're called in tekken). Any tips for making them afraid to push buttons during that?
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
We call them "get up kicks" Get up kicks have 2 options, a mid and a low, and in my opinion the best thing to do is a move that hits them grounded, so you'll either counter hit them, or get free damage, timing needed of course and depends on move. If you pick up on them get up kicking, the best thing to do is to actually side step as you dash into them, and launch punish, you can also bait it out by back dashing and punishing. If you struggle with that, use jins f+4 as it is a counter hit launcher, or d+4

Practice Practice. F, N, D, D/F+2 The key is hitting the d/f and the 2 at the exact same time. if you're on pad try binding the 2 button to L1 and you'll find more success that way. You just need to build muscle memory, hope that helps :)

Why are jins combos so inconsistent
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
they're quite consistent, it's just you gotta dash deep for b+3, f+1,2 to connect, any others are usually do to miss timings.
@tipusensei7 жыл бұрын
what about parry........ I came only for the parry...........
@Autoswitched7 жыл бұрын
Salman Tipu i actually made a parry section but I guess I accidentally deleted it lol, I but b+1+3 is a parry, it comes out in around 5 frames and needs to be timed well, this is only used VS specific strings e.g Jin can parry the last hit of his own 1,2,4 string and punish a normally safe string. He can also parry multiple hits in a string if timed well... Miss time the parry and you eat a hit, also parrying some moves e.g jabs doesn't offer a punish but rather frame advantage
