Man, I get it. I'm an old guy that grew up on 70's and 80's music. And something I hear in this particular piece are those very Kansas Or Boston style progressive rock syncopations, but with a ton more percussiveness. Sped up a few thousand bpm's & with a stellar vocalist. There's not a weak member of this group in the slightest. I listen really close to the drums & bass and what they're doing is every bit as hard to duplicate as System of a Down's catalog, or Killswitch Engage. This is by far my favorite track off of "King of Everything". Brilliant work.

That riff you like is a technique called finger tapping. I'm not sure why they rarely show Roman doing it, because it looks as cool as it sounds. If you watch some of their live concerts such as "Resurrection Fest" you can catch a couple of clips of him doing it. I honestly think Roman is just bashful and must request they not show him much, because he's severely under displayed.
@Sense0085 жыл бұрын
Roman is also much better than a lot of people realise, because eugene and the bass are usually dominant. But that is just their style of music. The riffs Roman comes up with are almost always bangers, even if they don't always show of his full skills. I like that you can often see glimpses of his skills in little corners of songs (the lovely bluesy solo at the end of "who'se gonna be the one" for example)
