I've played MH since gen 2 and Wild Hearts is more fun than most MHs, even with my PC fans sounding like they are going to explode. The only thing that this Hunting Action is similar to MH is the gameplay loop of going to a map to fight a monster, get materials to upgrade and repeat, otherwise it doesn't play like MH and shouldn't be thought as playing MH. It's a mix between MH, Dragon's Dogma and Death Stranding's structures, the game makes you think more than just "don't get hit, hit it till it dies".

Karakuri are more like MH "items" then Fortnite buildings tbh. Traps, flashbangs, healing dust and all that stuff is essentially the same here. Which is the best innovation the game makes imo + the permanent buildings/camps you can make.

I played it most of yesterday and I was getting pretty frustrated. I haven't really been using the Karakuri since yea like was mentioned, it feels kind of weird building boxes and stuff mid combat (plus I need a new controller, that button works like half the time). plus, I'm trying to get used to the parasol, but I suck ass at parrying. thing looks fun as hell, but I just suck at timing stuff like that. and this is after like 500 hours in MW so don't say it's a practice thing, I can't even evade in those games without some evade window skills.
@jfb173jb Жыл бұрын
I'd say that building problem is more manageable. Given its a controller glitch. The parry with the umbrella though seems more like a side effect of maybe playing more defensive or counter consistent weapons. Like LS or the various shield duos. Though I'm not one to talk. I'm a HBG main and I've had trouble switching back to other weapons. LBG being another favorite of mine. Worked pretty well to fight Espinas since my counter play with HBG was getting me killed more often than not.

It's only natural to say you're having more fun than Monster Hunter, since this game is an evolution of what MHW started and introduced to the West. It's suppose to be an evolution of that genre. The basic gameplay loop is exactly what you get from MHW. Like you were stating about the Karakuri System and what makes this game unique, is what makes Hunter Arts unique to MHGU. WH and MHW are in the same genre, where MH for more than a decade invented and established the genre. WH is an evolution of that genre. Ask yourself this...would you be saying about WH be the same, if MH came out with the Karakuri system first before WH was even developed? Probably... There is no doubt that WH is a fun game...I know. I have played it. WH has the Karakuri system in order for it to destiguish itself as more than a MH Clone, and there's more than enough in the game to make that distinction. WH maybe a different game, but it's definitely in the same genre as MH, and that's perfectly fine. Happy Hunting Fiver!
