I have had one of these for 8 years. I love it. I love the DNA collector on the end. Only problem, I put holes in my pockets if I’m not careful how I carry it.

Thanks for the great vid. Got this flashlight with a subscription to BattleBox. Always thought I had it set to moon setting, but watching your vid showed me I was on low. Best flashlight I've ever owned. Wish I had bought more when they were still made. Thanks!

I haven't purchased a light in a while. I love my older Olight models. That's disappointing to hear that they are making new models that need their proprietary battery. I think a big portion of their customer base are folks (like me) who do not want to be wrangled into proprietary anything in general. Flexibility of preference and availability of commonly-used batteries is a big deal to the gear nuts like most of us here. Great video, brother.

Best light ever! So glad I got this when I did before Olight discontinued it. I've EDC'd the M1X since 2016-17 and it still works like the day I got it!

It actually will save the strobe mode if you click off the light while in the strobe mode so it has a 6 mode memory I have bought 4 of them over the last several years I love them great light no doubt thanks for the video Sir love you're channel

Second, maybe 3rd time back to this video. In 2024, this is still my favorite Olight. I carry it for work and sometimes off duty. Shame they discontinued it. But the pocket clip didn't make it, it lasted 3 years... Been trying to find out how you could replace it?

I've had thing this thing for years with the battery you can buy on their site for 20 + bucks. The side button is gone (Still useable and seems like it would still be waterproof). The Bezel edges are worn. The clips really don't last. The second clip I bought they had to charge me 10 bucks shipping. This light still does the job. Still using original battery.

Best light I ever bought. I have 3, wish I bought more lol. It is my favorite flashlight *ever.* Sure it's not the best lumens or candela wise. But as far as features and reliability/ruggedness you can't beat it for the price. I have literally beat the shit out of my m1x striker, used it as a hammer, dropped it in water so many times, dropped it in concrete from waist height so many times, and it just keeps on working. My only wish was that they made a shorter version or re released it

Correction: most lights don't memorize the strobe but the M1X CAN. Press and hold the side switch while the light is on to activate strobe, then click the tailcap switch to turn it off. Strobe is now memorized. I love my M1X but no longer include it in my EDC because I use a much tougher and better light for defense. I still like the M1X though because it is very versatile and the instant access to turbo and especially moonlight mode are fantastic and quite rare in a light. The M1X also has a lot of sentimental value because it was my first step into the world of nicer lights before I had the stuff I do now and it proved a lot of people wrong and outlasted several cheap lights. Several years later and after several hard drops and being used in different conditions including underwater it still works and looks like new.

@@kenc.9067 Elzetta Bravo B331 with a Thyrm Switchback 2.0. The build quality and user interface for self defense is the best there is. The extra money is well worth it. The beam, quality of material, one inch thick solid acrylic optical lens, and fully potted electronics are great to have. It is waterproof inside and out and it is significantly more durable than other lights thanks to it's fully potted electronics. It can easily beat an Olight to death. Even the older Olights couldn't compete with it. The neutral white light and shape of the beam make a huge difference and eliminate tunnel vision. It is also fully modular so all of the parts are replaceable and interchangeable for versatility. The Surefire E2T-MV Tactician is my second favorite for defense but I highly recommend the Elzetta Bravo B331. If your life is ever in danger, it is nice to know you have the best equipment there is.
