This is a reality check, please disregard the false start. The Lakers will NOT be a title contender until they sign a big quality center. AD just can't deal with a bigger or more aggressive center. AD (253 lbs.) vs Jokic (285 lbs): 1-10. AD vs Sabonis (240 lbs.): 1-10. I'm afraid when the regular season comes to an end, this team will be looking at the Play Ins rather than competing for a title.

He would be a godsend on the sidelines and his championship experience as well relationship with AD, Bron , D lo and Austin reaves could be helpful.

The Lakers have had one of the softest opening schedules in recent memory. As teams get their rhythm after the offseason, and the Lakers play better teams (most teams in the West) they're going to have a harder time. They'll struggle to make the play-in. Still I like what JJ is up to---it just won't equal playoff success this season with the current roster.
