I was feeling it seems like an office building in some respects. This is not Princess's nicest or most aesthetically pleasing ship, IMO. But that's all very subjective.

Can't wait to try this ship. I love princess. So glad to see that they went with staff served buffet. That makes me so happy. Alfredos is soooo amazing. So many cool new features. Looks like there are enough spaces to avoid others. Also really love how they have added accessible areas too really thinking about all their guests

Great tour. I was impressed that they enhanced the focus on the outside views . There is no doubt that you are on a ship. There appears to be lots of venues spaced to disperse people around the ship. Love that the stairs in the piazza are now tucked off to the side, opening up the central entertainment area for better viewing. Lots of changes from their traditional ship design.

I can’t speak for the Sun specifically but the rest of the fleet has mostly drinks in the cheaper category. There are pricier drinks but that is the minority of them

I've been waiting for this tour! I've been waiting for this ship! I want to take a Transatlantic cruise on this ship because there's so much to see, I think I won't get bored. On the other hand, I think that if I took a port-heavy cruise, I wouldn't have enough time to really explore all of the venues.

Hands down the best ship tour video. Hubby and I are sailing a back to back in December on Sun. We were kinda on the fence whether or not we were going to like it. Thanks for the tour! The ship seems a lot more choppy and less open when seen in video than previous ships. This is both a pro and con. Pro is that one can have intimate moments and feel like it's fewer people on board than there really is. Con is that it can be harder to find venues and feel part of the overall action. While it is a stunning ship, my main gripes (if any) are the locations of smoking areas being too inclusive and the poor running track setup. It is way too narrow wih too few treadmills to offset those that need to go fast during workouts. Hopefully, there's enough interest elsewhere for walkers to get steps and allow track to be primarily used for running.

Wow, that dome area is amazing! I love the indoor/outdoor pool, too. The design of the Lido deck is particularly lovely. I like that the food and bar options are spread out a little so you don't have everyone crowding around one food line or one of two bars. I'm really impressed by how many dining options there are. The decor is really beautiful- classy and yet warm and calming. We've loved our cruises on Princess, particularly our Alaska cruise. I would love to try Sun Princess!

I hope so. I don't know. All the bright areas and blues leave me a bit cold to the ship. But this tour was done early in the day it seems. Maybe the areas are "warmer" at night because they're almost antiseptic looking in the brighter light.

So interesting. I could be wrong about this, but it looks like they switched up the loungers between the sanctuary and the Seaview terrace between the two sailings. The plush loungers were in the Seaview terrace and the regular loungers were in the Sanctuary, at least according to what I think I saw on a previous video and yours. There was lots of ink spilled over this fact in the first few days of the cruise.

Jordan, we just saw the ship tour and loved the video. Next January we are sailing on her for our anniversary and found several spots to enjoy ourselves with, including all the bars, thermal suite, and the pool areas! This will the fifth Princess cruise for us and from the looks of the video, our favorite Princess ship. This tour is the best i've saw yet. Hubby and I will be cruising on The Sun in August. Could you give me some info re the formal nights pls? If you don't want to take part in that, where can you go to eat? My hubby is worrying a bit about his clothes and what to pack. He's quite warm blooded and would prefer to wear chino shorts but I didn't think you could wear them in the evenings. Obviously there is restaurants that he will have to wear dressier bottoms.

Great walkthrough!! It makes me realize this Princess ship misses the mark in so many areas. I am a grown person, I can serve myself. Looks like a one and done cruise to check it out. The one area that they did well is the 2 level suite lounge.

I’m sure as a grown person you would wash your hands before serving yourself from the buffet. Unfortunately many others aren’t quite as grown as you and don’t wash their hands thereby spreading germs and illnesses. I expect Princess is hoping to cut down on common illnesses such as the Norovirus.

I haven't been on Sun, but thr pizza is not the same on other Princess ships, so I imagine Alfredo's pizza is not served at Lido. Alfredo's is made to order personal pizzas, while Lido is premade large pies with standard toppings where you get a slice.

I'm not impressed with what's going on with ship areas on the newest ships. They're too bright and light and lack a certain richness and diversity of design and color palette which creates distinctive moods. The trendiness of going with certain colors is something I hoped this ship would avoid. But it doesn't seem it has.

The casual dining and lounges like Wheelhouse and Crooner's look like slightly upscale cafeteria settings. Hubby says interior looks like a walk through a large airport.
