Yeah, but to a degree certain days and traditions help. As horrible as it is with all the commercialization, Christmas is still a great time to get the family together to just cherish eachother. Because it's hard to plan for any old day to get a whole family together besides the birthday of the grandparents and Christmas because of people's schedules and even then those times aren't much better

I find it perplexing that Karl has such empathy & sympathy for bugs dying in a pool, that he goes out of his way to spend half the day saving them from a drowning death, yet he completely lacks even an iota of compassion for his girlfriend just because he "draws a blank" at the supermarket, or some sort of little presents are "expected" on holidays. How the fuck does Suzanne put up with him?!
