I had a friend that used to work for the Warriors and he would occasionally get me tix to the games. After the game was over the only fans that were allowed to stay were friends and family of said players. I believe you needed to be on a list and have a pass to show security. It was a cool moment because most players were chilled afterwards and you could get a pic/autograph. Obviously this was done after the players would interact with friends & family and just before they went back to the locker room. The Orlando Magic were in town and JJ was in his rookie year. Since I didn’t know any players personally, my buddy put me on JJ’s friends & family list. I thought I would get in trouble but he said to me “you could pass for his brother (not because we look alike, but because we’re both white). Besides no one (security) is going to check with him to see if he knows you.” Sure enough I was able to stay afterwards and met some players not named JJ Redick. Thank you, JJ!

White players -- I think Bill Walton at his peak was a top ten player. His peak didn't last long enough to put him next to Kareem or Akeem or Wilt or Bill (who I think is underrated.) Bobby Jones was a top ten strong forward, maybe top 15. Bobby played defense capital D. Steve Nach and John Stockton were top 10 point guards. The Joker is a top 5 center, maybe top ten. We'll see how his career goes. Another top ten Center -- Arvydas Sabonis! I mean it! Before his injury he was truly awesome. That is, before his NBA career. I liked Chris Mullin. Top 20 small forward? Jerry Sloan -- top ten defensive guard? I think so. Peja -- top 20 3-point shooter? Dirk -- top 10 strong forward. Close to top 5. JJ -- top 20 3 point shooter easy. The only thing I like about GOAT discussions is positional GOATs. Makes you think down the list and there were so many great players. One of my favorite players who I think changed the game was Earl Monroe -- not white but he never gets talked about. He's the first guy I remember who would do a full-speed 360 while dribbling. Pat Riley impressed me with his toughness and focus. In that regard a top ten player. He wasn't even a starter but the dude was Intense. Top 10 guard -- Pete Maravich.

They always ignore this! Blacks act as if white people walked in the heart of the Senegal and snatched them up in broad daylight with their women and kids forced to watch. They got sold by their own “brothas” and “sistas” to the “devil white man.”

Funny how these “white players” are talked about like rare specimen, when some of the top players in the league are white rn with Jokic and Luka..

Put some respect on the Euro players that make it over here! They are on different levels

The disrespect that Jokic and Nash were getting was real. 'Some' even mocked Dirk. So yeah, we know how they talk about white guys.

JJ Redick was a big deal for the kids coming up at that time, at least for me he was. I think he’s underselling how big he was at that time.

Stop being fragile. Literally go read what they actually do to them in real life. Maybe clean up the actual sport before you get triggered by a conversation amongst friends.
