Do you remember when the Dallas Mavericks and the New York Knicks had a nail biter of a game and Luka Doncic intentionally missed a free throw, got the rebound and hit the game tying shot to send it into overtime? And the Mavs went on to win the game? Well... the entire thing happened because Luka didn't know the score lol. He thought it was a game winner and that's how we got the iconic Luka celebration.

I hate this false narrative “mainly YT ppl” keep pushing. All the superstar players love Luka! The media don’t downplay his ability they just don’t talk about it as much bc of the market & not being fond of Mark Cuban. Luka is MVP worthy every year especially when u consider he’s never had a team or a co-Star like he has now.
@Tophergr8

@@lv_lambo3162 naw. Every time he does something notable, Screamin A Smith downplays it, but if another player does something lesser, they're the next Kobe. Luka's been in the league six seasons now, and Smith still can't pronounce his name right, but has no problem pronouncing Antetokounmpo. Not just Smith, but Broussard, the older dude on NBA TV, and Skip Bayless. It gets ridiculous listening to them twist themselves into pretzels avoiding giving the guy his flowers when he deserves it. Ja plays in a smaller market, so does Shai, but they ready to crown them with the first month of great play, when Luka already been doing that for most of his career.

I get what Luka is saying. In the moment, you go in knowing that you have to miss, rebound and make the shot. And is such a feat to make It work that, when you do It, the adrenaline and tension and thinking "I did It" usually make you get a bit lost in the moment.

Why don't players practice missing free-throws? I used to practice hitting the back of the rim so the ball comes off hard & high.
