Same brakes I used on my swap (slotted only on the rotors though). I have no problem stopping, very quickly. Oh, and those calipers are 25lbs each BTW! 100lbs just in calipers. I actually shortened and re-flared my rear hard lines, and ran the soft lines down the upper control arms. Just one less thing hanging down to get caught up on something. Keep an eye on your rear endlink/ wheel speed sensor clearance. I broke one, and ended up just removing my rear sway bar with no drivability issues.

Great video! Only thing i'd say is you don't need gas mig. Fluxcore is great and will penetrate just fine, even better than MIG depending on the voltage you're running. You can make fluxcore look nice, won't drop dimes but it's fine for axles.

Thanks Ben. This post is a resolution from the tech department at Artec which fixed my limp mode. The formula is .866667which is a result of multiplying by 52 and dividing by 60. Why ford front and Chevy rear . Why not ford / ford or Chevy / Chevy. And thanks for all the great content.
@JKGearandGadgets5 жыл бұрын
I talked about that in the first one ton swap series episode. First thing, a Chevy front solid axle has the diff on the wrong side, so that’s out of the question. The ford rear sterling 10.5 has clearance issues with the Jk gas tank, so either you lift the jeep sky high, relocate the tank to the rear, or run a fuel cell, the ford rear isn’t a good choice. The ford Dana 60 and Chevy 14 bolts are both the best of the 2 models, and work great for this swap.
