Every time I see a new telescopic controller with a build in cooler I can't help but think, "Come on Gamesir! What are you doing? Give us a G8 with a cooler already."

I think there is a general consensus on this opinion, it's something unspoken that everyone knows and wants, but no one seems to do it... more so if it's deep enough to fit phones with large camera modules... why not consider this and then they're shaping or cutting parts of the device to make it fit properly... it's sad.

I have to chime in on this one, honestly I thank viewers because throttling was simply not an issue in quite some time but I game mostly from a 22c degree environment. I'll try to bring temperature more in my conversations so that hopefully, more brands pick up the information that there is a large demand for coolers in controllers!

Just got this last week, been playing wuthering waves, warzone and zenless on ios. Definitely worth it for graphic-heavy games, the cooler keeps the 60fps stable for me. Haven’t tried playing racing games like grid but I bet its not quite good cause LT and RT buttons have no range of motion but its perfect for action/rpg games.

Well there you go! Yeah the cooler did work well, even more so considering the price point. My conclusion is that it performs as well as other more expensive cooling controllers, this one just takes a bit more time for the cooling to set but once it does, it doesn't seem any less good than controllers with 4 times the price. Not too shabby!

Keep the good work man ! I just returned the Easysmx m05 due to a bad D-Pad. I tried both similar controllers, X2s and M05, neither passed my intense fighting test which is fast paced combos. I guess for Street Fighter 2 is ok, but not suitable for Marvel vs Capcom 2, King of Fighters or DragonBall Fighterz which require fast D-Pad response. X2s had a really un-ergonomic D-pad because it has really sharp edges around the pad... it hurts man. And the small buttons also kinda hurt the other thumb. I also tried the G8 and even it's not the best d-pad out there, at least it works right for the aforementioned games. My personal problem with the G8 is the size, is a chunky boy not exactly made for jacket's pockets but you need a backpack or something like a messengers bag. On the other hand I know why you gave a S ranking to the M05, way better face buttons, bigger and nicer than X2s', better sticks, and also better D-pad too, but the diagonals man... you can easily make wrong diagonals with that d-pad. Otherwise, great controller for everything else, not just so for heavier fighting games. What other small compact telescopic controllers are out there? Why not making a video about small telescopic controllers (if there are) ? Thanks man, nice video as usual. Edit: Are you in touch with Gamesir? after so many revisions to the X2 model, why they haven't released a controller with the same shell, but D-pad oriented (and better dpad than their current models) with the dpad on top just like a Playstation controller?. ✌🙂

You might be pleasantly shocked with the JK02 for real. It's not the fastest d-pad but that can be addressed with skills, the foundations are good. With that said, I think the champ in d-pad remains the Abxylute S9 and the D8 Pro is also quite up there! I am in touch with GameSir but I don't have that kind of relationship "yet?" where they openly ask for feedback on products. I know they watch my reviews so hopefully they take what they think is valuable out of it but I've been calling them out on D-pads for a while now and they seem very adamant on the styles they adopt hehehe! 😅 Orientation is something I'm not sure they would do in the telescopic space. It's definitely a company that seems to have more the "modern" approach in their design language. Not bad per say but I don't think they have the more "traditional" or "retro" bone. This was a chill review of a controller that's a stone cold value. I like the cooler and how the plate is spring loaded to guarantee contact. I wish it used its own battery to power the cooler; but, it's a sub $20 controller. I need to ice my expectations a bit. What it offers appears to be amazing for the price. Off topic question: Have you ever tested the Mocute 060 Bluetooth telescopic controller? The reason I'm asking is because the other night Stubbs from RH put out a Powkiddy roundup video where he talked about every Powkiddy handheld of 2024. One of them had dual symmetrical sticks up. It was otherwise solidly meh; but, I thought the stick placement would make it perfect for racing games that used both sticks for analog inputs. I tried researching telescoping controllers with that WiiU inspired layout and I could only find just the one, the Mocute 060. It's an older controller - something like three years old at this point - and is probably wholly outclassed by literally everything in 2024. I'm just curious if the layout itself has merit.

Hi, the video was interesting. It would be interesting if you made a video with telescopic controller with integrated coolers, but considering whether or not they have space for phones with large camera modules (taking into account how big they are, with measurements included). I see that many make reviews, but nobody or few talk about this topic... much less talk about precise measurements, because nowadays more and more phones are coming out with this type of large camera modules. It could even be considered if these phones reach with or without a case on these controls.

The challenge with this very situation is that a lot of the phones with particularly large camera modules haven't been available in North America for quite some time, Huawei, Xiaomi. When talking about iPhone, Samsung and Pixel phones, they will all fit without issue because the portion that slides open is deeper for the camera bumps, but how deep that goes, quite frankly, it's a very particular measurement to take. I can't promise that'll be a thing on every video.

Yeah the app is free, it does work pretty nicely, MooWii Gaming is what it is called, is one of the better 3rd party app for controller management as of late, overall I've been pretty happy anything a controller uses it.

@evansebastian6452 Great is not the word I'd use because it has a step learning curve, being a smaller gate, it's a fairly aggressive stick. In that same breath, I'd also tell you that though there is adjustment to be had, it is also quite consistent in its behavior so as you adapt, you'll get better and that will remain viable over time. Hey man how are you? I have the same controller. This is my 2nd one. Now I just recently tore my iPhone up yesterday; dropped it n the toilet- after I used it 🤦. So I got my new phone today and I couldn’t wait to hook up my iPhone and controller but my issue is REMAPPING my keys! I had it successfully done on my old phone but today for someone reason I can’t seem to get my keys to function properly. For example The new profile isn’t allowing me to remap left trigger with right trigger. How can I get these to act right?

Download the app and get it done in there. Now one thing though, it is possible that your controller is still looking for the previous phone and won't connect with the new one (the software signal that is), I am not sure what shortcut puts the software in pairing mode but I would try powering the software and look for the controller, it's for sure your best course of action.

That wasn’t needed. My new phone recognized it. What you should tell your followers is to KEEP the little 4-page instructions from the controller box. The instructions regarding “change keys” by pressing power + key and look for 2-red pulses! If it wasn’t for those instructions that I kept up with I would probably still be trying to figure it out You should tell your viewers to hold on to those instructions and keep them somewhere safe!

D10s vs jk02 vs x3 cooler test? Just run wildlife stress test on some flagship android. How many watts does the cooler use?

Up to 10w is what I picked up on. 5v 2a precisely so USB-A capping basically. I'd say the performance between all three is extremely similar but the X3 Pro has the advantage of getting the temperature down faster, I think it has to do with the rubber membrane they use on the point of contact?

The quality in itself is not comparable, the X3 Pro is many cuts above. That said... At first glance, I prefer the JK02. I feel weird to even say that but the X3 Pro is a controller I pick up, I'm like: "Yay!... Yay?... Yay..." It's hard to make up my mind because it's got the makings of an amazing product but some of its quirks sneak up on you. The JK02 was the exact opposite. Started kind of meh but it slowly builds up and builds up for me to feel at the end that it is a pretty compelling solution and for so little!

​@@wren1150 Definitely could be a preference thing, I look, test and use these products from a very analytical perspective, I can't be helped. Not the best example but, it's as if I buy a tube that costs me $10 to carry water from my faucet to a bucket. It's good quality, it does the job. But I can also cut the tips off of a 2L soft drink bottle and achieve the same work for a fraction... Suddenly, that bottle feels satisfying because you save the cost, you get the job done and even if it breaks, you always can get another bottle with very little effort. That's kind of where I'm at. I hope this illustrates my conundrum better! :D

If I recall, you have to put yourself in a specific mode for the app to give you access to the tweaking. Put yourself in Android HID mode and that should work. Sadly, I do not remember the exact shortcut for Android HID but you should be able to find it in the manual.

A red light flashes when pressing and hold Y and R2 buttons in Xbox Mode. This prevents me on pressing and hold these buttons making it not functional in some games. Do you have a fix on that?

That is because you have turbo activated on Y and R2, do the function button and the key, push it again, see if it still does the red light. If it does, repeat the process until it does not anymore.

If you phone throttles, the JK02 should be your option. The AoBing will do little to nothing to help with throttling, those holes are not to be considered a solution to cool your phone but rather prevent it ever so slightly to not get warmer with high likeliness of having no positive impact. I hope this helps. As for comfort, the JK02 remains surprisingly good, I don't think you'd be disappointed.

I think the problem in this market is not in the affordable segment. To be honest there's plenty budget controllers that are good. The problem is in a higher price. There's only few good telescopic controllers at the 50-100 dollars price range. And if we talking about any perfection - there's none. As you've said in one of your videos there's no telescopic controller that has perfect D-Pad, none. And that's just an example. For me G8+ is kinda heavy, abxylute S9 has a faulty D-Pad, Kishi Pro has it's own compromises and high price, EasySMX M15 is good all rounder but nothing great, and BSP D8 Ultra has a bad build quality

You know what, I totally agree with you. In fact, you said outloud something I knew but hadn't found the words to express so thank you. I do hope more companies push the agenda with higher end telescopic controllers, and some that aren't just a lot of marketing with not enough substance. *coughcough* That said, I do wish to commend the ones who have pushed the envelope so far and I consider GameSir, Abxylute and ELO to be some of them, but there needs to be more in that higher-end price tag. None are perfect *yet* but they do move in the right direction.

This uses a Peltier cooler, so it generally has a higher current draw. As an owner of this controller, I wouldn't recommend this as a cheap entry level controller. Part of this controller's functions is unusable. Mainly the native screen mapping, which you hadn't test in this video. The software described in the operation isn't correct , and the software to actually use its native mapping can't set a proper POV analog.

I'll try to test things out but seeing as MooWii Gaming serves many controllers and I've used mapping with that software quite often, I took for granted that it works fine. What app did you use?

@@GameTechTalk Well it seems I owe you an apology. When I had originally tested it , back in March of 2024, the Moowii app wasn't available on the Google Play store and I had to download the APK directly. That version was apparently the issue. I see now the Moowii is officially in the Play store and it works fine. Only hiccup is that the app requires you to be in developer mode and in debugging mode activated . Some android games will not open while debugging is active. With that said,I'm sorry . This is not a bad controller to recommend, as a entry level. Also be careful pocketing this. The rubber thumb grip on the analogs pops off easily and I've lost one .

When you say “most buttons” do you mean that some do and some don’t? Because that sounds weird. I would suggest installing the companion app and testing in the app with the testing application to make sure the buttons do work.

You hold one of the functions buttons, the one that looks like a little face if I recall and hold M1 or M2 for a moment until the LED comes up. When it does type the button(s) and tap the paddle again to save the inputs. Im going off the top of my head, I wont be home for a week. Hopefully that was it, cheers
