Just to mention in case anyone suggests it - the cannon blast does NOT count as fire damage so using Oil on enemies does NOT increase the damage - You can't leave items on the ground at all in Bloodborne so leaving bullets at the fog gate isn't possible

So, i think there is a way to kill mergo, so when mergo goes onto the shadow realm it seems like its clone attacks add a extra counter hit. I remember that someone was able to use it ( i think it was baron castle or the backlogs.)

Maybe you could leave bullets at the fog wall and then collect bullets that are naturally spawned around the map but there are no bullets in the Nightmare of Mensis so it wouldn't matter even if you could

Regarding the "getting the third rune" thing: The way you made and edited the video, I think we all were under the assumption you hit a wall (writing this a you're fighting Ludwig after getting the third rune). At that point in any challenge runm I personally feel like it's way more fun to have the runner explore and explain "OK, these are the things we could theoretically do within the confines of the game to maybe still turn this around; this run isn't legit anymore, this is just for the sake of sciene".

Using chalices as you do, you could stack three +5 bullets runes for a total of 7 canon shoots. This would leave the Wet Nurse at 500hp if you landed the 7 counter hits😅😅 Love your content. Keep it up!!

So I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this but if you could get to the phase change on Mergo's wet nurse, both her and her clones take damage from any explosives allowing you to deal double damage by hitting both with a single shot. Unless there's something I missed it seemed like you were able to get to her phase change with two shots left so she should be theoretically possible.

I think there may be one way to push your damage to the next level on this weapon. Since you're using the Church Cannon in the left hand, you should be able to carry a melee weapon in your right hand and equip it with poor man's blood gems to get a damage boost at low health. The best weapon to use for this strategy would be the Reiterpallasch because you can still access hyper-mode easily with the following steps: Create blood bullets, lose health, enter Reiter trick-mode and fire a single bullet with R2, create more blood bullets, lose health, repeat until hyper-mode is engaged. Take my suggestion with a grain of salt because I don't know if the poor man's blood gem damage boost affects guns, and I don't have the means to test this right now.

It's a good idea but unfortunately the poor man's gems only affect the damage of the weapon they're equipped to, so it wouldn't affect the gun you hold in your other hand.

Idk if it works anymore, or for another matter with the church cannon, but there’s a glitch with the cannon where you can fire it infinitely, so if u were to use said glitch the run would in theory be possible

AFAIK the second witch is definitely present from the very start of the fight. It just doesn't do anything so its hard to find, but you don't need to kill or even injure the first one for the second to appear

seing as bloodtinge is almost in fact another name for physical damage in the game a good way of incresing damage is with the beast claw, if allowing it just for the sake of testing i believe more damage could have been done (this in amygdala fight would have been a one-shot i believe)
