They forgot about Roger Clemens in 2005. He had a 1.87 ERA in 211.1 innings in the NL Central.

I don't think they could technically use him, since they've been playing with a rule that they have to use one starter from every (current) team and there's only 5 starters. However, I think they could have justifiably used, say, Billy Wagner or Octavio Dotel.

You just can't miss 2005 Roger Clemens at 1.80 ERA for 221 innings and 2003 Billy Wagner at 1.78 for 86 innings. And they're both so safe because there's only two Clemens years and they're both amazing, and only like 4 Wagner seasons and they're also all amazing.

Brad Lidge 2004 was really good also. 1.90 era with 94.2 innings. Tom of innings for a relief pitcher.

Gibson didn't pitch since 2000. As for Houston, they need to set rules about using them in these drafts and then remind each other. My suggestion for a draft like this would be that you are permitted to choose a Houston SP in place of another team, but then you must take a reliever from the missing team.

You guys should do a 2024 theme after you do the schedule you have planned, you can do all of the draft themes you already did, but expand the pitchers to 6 so one from each division

The lack of NL Central knowledge here is insane😂 2017 Wade Davis, 2016 Jon Lester, 2015 AJ Burnett, 2008 Ryan Dempster, 2010 Jaime García, 2015 John Lackey, 2014 Lance Lynn, 2015 Trevor Rosenthal, 2004 Ben Sheets, 2011 Jeff Samardzija, 2015 Hector Rondon (he was insane), 2014 Pedro Strop, 2018 Jeremy Jeffress (he was even more insane). All of these really good seasons went unmentioned, much less unpicked

Joe Kelly was a starter and a reliever in 2013. 2.69 over 124 IP. Would have been interesting to see how that would have been handled. Also, 2004 Ben Sheets.

Put myself in Dalton's shoes (3rd pick OVR, can't take anyone already drafted by the time his picks come up including his own selections) and I came up with this: Pick 3: Hendricks ’16 (2.13, 190 IP) Pick 4: Wainwright ’14 (2.38, 227 IP) Pick 9: Cole ’15 (2.60, 208 IP) Pick 10 to make it spicy: Kimbrel ’21 (0.49, only 36 IP w/Cubs) Pick 15: Gray ’19 (2.87, 175 IP) Pick 16: Woodruff ’21 (2.56, 179 IP) Pick 21: Rosenthal ’15 (2.10, 68 IP) Pick 22: Iglesias ’19 (4.16, 67 IP, yikes) Screwed the pooch on the last one but maybe this’d be enough to win??
