Viking Samurai joins us to argue over the merits, or lack thereof, of Under Siege 2. Is this one of the last good Sifu movies or is this the beginning of Chunk Seagal?

I thought it would be fun to have a Seagal fan on during an episode so I could shit on Sifu in front of him. But I had no idea that David would get Seagalian levels of hate from it, haha.

The list of actors, actresses, directors and stunt professionals that have openly declared that they don't wish to work with Seagal ever again, is longer than the end credits of this film. Andrew Davis almost chose to not direct Under Siege, because he had bad experience working with Seagal on Above The Law. In the end he did and it paved the way for him to do The Fugitive with Harrison Ford and star of Under Siege Tommy Lee Jones.
@JasonBrant

I didn't know that about Andrew Davis. Need to find some interviews with him about it.

Davis actually praised Seagal during his time with him on Above The Law... he said that it wasn't until years AFTER Above the Law, that he felt Seagal's ego had blown up and had become more of a jerk. Important to note also the actors that actually praised Seagal too. Tommy Lee Jones said Seagal was a "total professional" and "an excellent athlete", and "highly skilled". Those are Jones' words directly.

I imagine your guest is a decent guy if you're inviting him into your house, but as it happens it really ended up aligning with uncomfortable conversations with people I love and making me think of that. I do *not* want to crap on the fellow, and am perfectly happy to discover I'm wrong, and even if my opinion was spot on, that is not a statement as to the character of the gentleman. @@JasonBrant I think I get what he was trying to say (for example: John Travolta or Matt Damon have been in action movies but are not considered action stars) HOWEVER he is totally wrong to dismiss Willis and Cruise just because they have some good movies outside of the action genre. @@TalentCaldwell I think that's the proper context. Before Willis actually became an action star since Die Hard, he was a legitimately good actor, being nominated for Emmy and Golden Globes. Even after he was established as an action star, he was doing Sixth Sense. Basically, if Willis wants to, he can show his range. And so the same goes for Wahlberg and Swayze.

Katherine Heigl quote about Seagal: On the last day of shooting, and again, I had just turned 16 on this movie, and he said: ‘you know Katie, I got girlfriends your age,’. is that guy serious, does he actually like Seagal? Jumping on the bandwagon? This guy is terrible. I love watching people having a bad time with Seagal,but... you got to be a flatearther without any personal opinion of something or any previous knowledge about it. Its like he can't believe people that Seagal isn't a good actor/person..but then he believes the people who say people can't be trusted...what a hypocrite. It's like you are saying you don't know, which is fine. But if you're going to ignore one "Bandwagon" then you should avoid both sides. So we gotta use our brain...to dictate whats going on, EVERYTHING everyone says about celebes can be true or false...but if we watch with our own eyes and see these problems, its not us, there's no bandwagon. It is him...next thing you know people gonna start defending Jeffrey Epstein...oh no he wasn't a slave/sex trafficker, thats just a bandwagon...he was a good guy! -_- Gotta say, I seen lots of these videos, I have only seen 3 people, it seems like too many to have 4 people. I like the main 3(main 3?) I definitely can't watch with that guy, hes taking the piss from the whole show...."she was a teenager when he groped her" and he replies with "I was a teenager too" Dude, thats what people say to defend registered sex offenders..shes talking about the age difference between Seagal and the girl. it's creepy when an old man does that, even on accident....sorry "accident" But even creepier when they defend someone...this guy gotta go! I can't ever watch this guy again, I have no interest in his opinion....do you know how many times I have "accidentally" touched someone, I was talking to? ZERO TIMES...what type of martial artist doesn't have control over every inch of his body...he did it on purpose, hes a pervert... How can she be on a bandwagon, if she herself said she didn't feel comfortable? So now Viking...Samurai is telling us that she was only "uncomfortable" Because of what she heard after the fact. Lemme guess, if she gets drugged, bill cosby style...is he gonna defend Seagal, even then? I can't do this, And it makes me hate my own subject...viking samurai, that is basically a contradiction...Viking is a pirate, Samurai are those who believe in Honor and service...You gotta be the most uninspired, unintelligent hipster to come up with that -_- Or you just don't understand, I hate fake people. And either this guy is FAKE AF or he is 100% a stupid hipster well I will come back when this guy aint on. Love the main 2 dudes and the gal, they make great observations. So, Viking Samurai was right: Seagal actually wore a girdle in this film because he'd put on too much weight. That's not a joke - he really did that. He told people he'd lose the weight at some point... which, given how big he'd get, is pretty hilarious.

Segeal had some pretty good Aikido technique in his earlier movies. His joint breaking and body smashing was unparalleled and quiet cinematic. So he can be defended on that level at least and those earlier works were entertaining as late 80's/early 90's action flicks. Beyond that he really is a POS human being and the worst ambassador for Aikido imaginable. Indefensible.

I legitimately enjoyed the limb breaking he did early on. It pales compared to the sit fighting in his later movies, though.

Sit fighting, eh? Could it be said that Seagal has created an entirely new form of marital art? Has he attained such a deep understanding of Aikido, which is based on pure movement, that he has passed beyond and through it to manifest an art based on no movement? Will it join legendary fighting skills like Drunken boxing, Jeet Kun Do, Din Mak, 8 Diagram Pole fighting, Eagle Claw, or even, Flying Guillotine? The mind boggles.

Yeah, I have to admit, I enjoyed his earlier movies. You nailed it.

Well fuggin' said. I really REALLY enjoyed his first 4 or 5 movies, and then I took my girlfriend and future wife to see 'on deadly ground' after praising Seagal to her. I left the theatre apologizing to her. It was the start of a decline that never stopped.

Maybe, just maybe there are valid reasons for why it's popular to shit on Shitfu Seagal nowadays. Maybe perchance perhaps possibly.

After Episode 200, which was absolutely phenomenal, this is a bit of a downer. Sorry I have to say this but David is not very likeable. Hard to watch with him, hopefully he's not coming back.

I am a loyal fan and subscriber of SBIG, but I couldn't sit through an entire video of him making excuses for Seagal. This is the first video of yours that I started but couldn't finish.

Viking Samurai called out Michael Bisping for an MMA fight last week, saying if Frank Dux trained him, he could beat Bisping, who is a UFC hall of famer and a former champion who went toe to toe with Anderson Silva. It's fair to say that you should take anything this guy says with a pinch of salt.

In today's medial climate we can never know for sure, if that's a publicity stunt or real talk. Promoting a fight in the most ludacris way has become the cool thing to do. I agree though, if he's being serious, he's unfortunately lost his mind :D

Red Dead Aclips SBIG Fun facts: Edit: holy crap, Viking samurai knew every fact that I laid out here. That is too funny!! 😂 While producing Under Siege 2 Steven Seagal started wearing a girdle to contain his belly fat, this was apparently a temporary fix as he intended to lose the excess weight eventually. This has not occurred. Also Gary Busey for some reason was hired to be the villain despite being in and dying in the first Under Siege. He was also given a pay or play deal, meaning he got paid whether he filmed or not. He of course was never in Under Siege 2, but was still paid $750,000. Which apparently came out of Seagals co-producer salary.
