In P4A the game has a queue of moves it holds to determine SMP(same move proration), however there's a limit to said queue which is where you get a character like Naoto who basically does a bunch of different moves to fill the queue and then she's able to loop B Fangs because it's untechable for a long enough time to do another and repeat until the opponent dies.

Thanks for the shoutout! So, it's been quite a while since I did that MvC2 video, but iirc, during the grab, I wiggled the stick diagonally (up-left and down-right) and mashed HK with both the index and the middle finger (so I double-tap mashed). IIRC, I mashed very fast, but also tried to keep the rhythm consistent. But like other people said, it's just for show, because it can be counter-mashed.

Someone has to say it: Wobbling in Super Smash Bros. Melee. Allow me to explain the steps to perform a wobble: 1. Pick Ice Climbers. 2. With your partner ice climber alive (who is called Nana), grab the opponent. 3. Hold the stick _slightly_ in the direction of the opponent while they are grabbed. 4. Press the A Button to the beat of "Through the Fire and Flames". I'm not kidding. Explanation: Two Ice Climbers cannot grab the same opponent, but while the opponent is grabbed, Nana can still act based on the inputs given by the main ice climber (despite being in a grabbing state). By performing the steps explained above, You'll have the main Ice Climber (who is called Popo) Pummel the opponent in the grab and have Nana use her forward tilt attack. By doing this, the grabbed opponent is in permanent hit stun and is unable to escape the grab, mashing or not. Until a few years ago, this oversight was legal in tournaments. When it was banned, almost every single Ice Climber player in the top 100 players left the game.

More specifically the way TAC infinites work is that the hitstun scaling is re-enabled when you enter a “neutral standing position”. So anything that prevents that will continue the infinite; for example a character who has a stance like Jill. She can stance cancel her landing recovery and never enter a “neutral standing position” allowing her to keep comboing.

@nodthenbow Жыл бұрын
She doesn't have one. The only real infinite in SC2 is Lizardman's. I belive SC3 Cassandra does have an infinite with 22G since she can loop her back throw with it iirc. SC4 Cass has an infinite with 236:B that works on some characters on some stages, but nothing super reliable (although you can loop it like 7 times on everyone, which resets on every wallsplat, of which you get 2 per combo). In every sc game there are a ton on fake infinites that can be done by having someone air control wrong, continually ukemi into stuff, not shaking stuns, or never breaking throws though. You might be thinking of the Taki infinite in SC2's arcade version too, which was done with something like 2aA~po porc iirc (it was something that used porc).

The damage scaling on the Marvel VS games is such that even if you do land an infinite, the scaling will eventually reduce all outgoing damage to 1 pix. So the devs did allow infinites, it just made them boring as hell and encourages people to drop it (by mistake or otherwise).

@@PurpleDragonSpikeit sucks because doing infinites is still optimal, it just takes a long fuckin time. Its like wobbling in melee, that shit wouldnt be nearly as bad if it didnt completely grind the game to a halt
@nodthenbow Жыл бұрын
No, it's a terrible solution lol. Also it doesn't drop to 1px in most of the vs games, but until mvc3 you would expect to have normal hits drop to 1 damage. Thing was that you only have 100 some health until mvc3, so you usually will die. The bad part is that when you don't die you will still usually lose to timeout, which is a lot stronger because then you don't even need to KO their full team (plus it is very boring). Mvc3 has a mix of infinites that will timeout and infinites that will kill, but most will kill since the timer is really long. Also side note, the mvc community calls a lot of things infinites that aren't actually infinites, like the famous Iron Man infinite drops at 60ish hits unless you super (due to undizzy). Every mvc game except mvci still has true infinites btw.

The easiest infinite I know of is in Virtua Fighter 2. The character Pai has a high kick which knocks the enemy around quite a bit at full range, but if you use said high kick when the opponent is very close to you, it leads to a half-power kick that only slightly moves them...and has its animation halved. There is a 1-2 total frame gap where the opponent could respond...but VF2 only has one character in the entire game that can execute a defense in 2 frames or less: Akira. You can use Akira's arm thrust attack to break the Pai loop, but no other character in the game...so yes, against the majority of the roster, you can literally just spam one button for an infinite.

In Kamen Rider Super climax heroes, there are many infinites but i think the dumbest one is ibuki's Basically 5H is a series of 3 shots, really good startup and block damage, also he has 5SP which is a close range special that gets buffed as long as you land shots, so the infinite comes when you hit whatever normal or shot that you hit/get blocked, then you cancel it into assault mode that is an special trait a lot of characters in SCH have, this normally drains your meter slowly and improving certain moves, but for some reason, when you are in assault mode whatever thing you spend meter on is basically free as long as assault mode is still activated, so, you can hit 5H, cancel it do it again, and again and again, no matter if its blocked because doesn't take long for 5H to break guard, and then you cancel 5H until your meter is almost empty and thats when you cancel again but you do 5SP and no matter how much life you have that almost every time kills, its stupid and i love SCH for having so many stupid ToDs and infinites
