This is such a great video. The fact that people don't understand the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" is so saddening.

Well, one of the girls literally came out and made a Facebook post apologizing for falsely accusing CJ (he showed that in the statement). Sorry if I have trouble believing the other girls when one of them was lying.

Apparently one of the women came out with proof that CJ was leaving some important messages out of the screenshots, I don’t think that he is 100% a monster, but I can’t verify that he’s 100% innocent either. His video comes across as very genuine and truthful though.

What it was was the part about CJ driving all night to Morgan's and then leaving. She posted the full screenshot which made her look worse honestly. She said (paraphrasing) "come back and kiss me one last time." He didn't respond, so she said "wow I was right, you are an asshole" Then he responded something like "I drove all night, I'm tired, I'm in pain from kidney stones, I can't drive back I'm trying to go home because I'm scared of crashing because of how tired I am" mind you, this was after 9 hours driving to her. Then she typed a fucking book about how he was awful that he would just leave her and go back home. Nothing about abuse, nothing about anything, just she was mad he didn't go back for her. And it looked like SHE was the manipulator, because she kept saying "fuck what I want, fuck my feelings", making him try to feel bad for her. Honestly, her posting the full text gave more proof to CJs comments, not hers.

Sounds like cancel culture at its worst. Supporting victims of abuse needs to be more support and not just attacking the accused abuser. It's done some good with the worst of the worst sure, but it's also ruining some innocent people's lives.

I feel the same here. People are way to quick to react and take someone down without complete evidence. Hopefully CJ was truthful about his response, but he definitely seemed very genuine

When interviewed, Austin who knows cj far better than any of us, seems to loathe cj and “manipulative” retelling of the events in his video. Not only that, but cj is glaringly obvious in his rampant and unchecked self-absorption, complete lack of humility, and to me, perhaps his most egregious offense; he’s fucking writing lyrics on the level of a second grader, and seems to be about as intelligent. How anyone can enjoy the lyrical content of metal’s Hodor, next to the poetic mastery of toms’ incredibly intelligent wordsmithing, truly baffles me. Technique be damned, I feel stupider for having to listen to cj, no matter his band. To end on a positive note, at least he should be punctual with hismany 10k “throwaway cell phone function devices”in truly gaudian fashion, suprising no one, given his iq

People love Varg and forgave Tim quickly. In the metal scene, sex crimes are viewed much more seriously than literal murder and I’ve always found that quite strange.
@tiredstories4 жыл бұрын
Also, innocent until proven guilty is a dying philosophy and it’s really good to hear you so adamantly defend it.

What the actual hell I never knew Tim did anything like that... Really goes to show how people prioritize these days... I mean I love the band but I don't know if that whole thing with Tim will go over well with me
@Remmy09304 жыл бұрын
Sex crimes are considered more seriously then murder in prison as well. NOBODY likes a sex offender. I get what your trying to say though.
@Jackoasta4 жыл бұрын
I never understood why people still love Varg and Tim. Varg is a racist and a fascist and it's why I refuse to listen to Burzum. Tim planned to kill his ex wife and he's a piece of shit for it and the worst thing is that people fell in love with him again as soon as he came out of prison and apologised for what he did. It's why I don't listen to AILD anymore (even though I loved their work before the incident). It's seriously awful what happened to CJ. Cancel culture should be stopped and I will always stand with "Innocent until proved guilty" because I will never believe someone who doesn't have reliable proof and who has proven to be a liar in the past. It's amazing how a lot of people get away with falsely accusing someone of something so serious without any reliable proof and that's the kind of behaviour that absolutely needs to be stopped.

I think it’s all irrelevant now since some time has passed, both sides, the band and CJ have said there things and have moved on. I recently scrolled through there Instagrams and I’ve seen both mention the past. The band just recently released Immortal with CJ’s vocals still intact. The guitarist says that we should all listen to this album from a neutral standpoint. Then I went to CJ’s Instagram and I read some texts he said on one of his posts, he acknowledges what has happened to him and the band and he wants to move on. In my mind I don’t think he’s a complete prick, this accusation shit hit him hard which I think he didn’t take too well and it made him rash. I also think the band were also being rash and were kind of backed against a corner so they had to make some sort of decision, henceforth booting CJ out of the band which also didn’t help. But in the end both want to go there separate ways and move on. That’s just what I think about all this but then again, there will always be different opinions.

if i like or dislike a person….if they’re publicly a POS or not. it’s not in our nature to “grab a megaphone” and “call them out” time will do that….karma comes eventually. it’s not our job to play moral police. because even if the person is in FACT NOT A POS it just leaves room for others people to act on impulse and emotion. it’s bad for the brain.

Great video, these days seems like the self righteous mob is on top but hopefully that won't last. Personally I've never demanded high moral standards from metal musicians cause in extreme music you get extreme people. "Flesh Coffin" for me may be the best deathcore album ever made.
@fakehappy14733 жыл бұрын
the problem with the innocent until proven guilty, is people that say that, are assuming the person making the allegation is guilty of lying until proven innocent. and even men are extremely more likely to be a victim of sexual assault than be falsely accused of it.

No saying that means that it’s on the accusing party and in a court sense the state to confirm guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. It doesn’t mean we don’t believe the “victim”. It just means we’d rather not ruin a person’s life without solid evidence.

I know this is old.. But he could have sewed her for character defamation. His life/career was ruined because of a false accusations.. That's against the 1st amendment, people don't understand you can be sewed and get in trouble for falsely accusing someone and it ruining their life, just for it to be untrue. There needs to be more awareness about stuff like that.

Thoughts on Lorna maybe "encouraging" Nicole to publicly accuse CJ so they had cause to kick him? Because they posted the message saying CJ was out like an hour after Nicole posted the tweet.
