I feel for her. She was so powerful. And she had to be. No one, not even myself, knew what she went through as a child and throughout her life. Save the crappy low blow remarks.

Miss Crawford looks and acts like the TRUE Hollywood royalty that she is. Incredible looks and if you truelly watch all her films you can see her range. She had a tough life and had to fight for everything. A book written after someone has died and can’t defend themselves ? ??? Save it that’s a cowardly thing to do to anyone

I will say this, Joan Crawford was one of the best actress's to ever grace the silver screen. Her acting was full of real emotion. Truely a phenomenal actress.

Here I liked her trueness and candidness. This interview is far from narratives portrayed about Joan Crawford. She was respectful and above all, she valued peace and talent.

Watching this interview causes me to understand what Faye Dunaway and the movie Mommie Dearest got wrong. Crawford's personality was far more nuanced than both suggested.

Hayes Moses yes miss dunawy can now surrender her over the top interpretation of miss Crawford..miss Lange has presented an internalized portrayal of miss Crawford's fears and concerns

Hayes Moses Crawford was being Crawford.. very little honesty was displayed here..no doubt Cristina was muttering! stop acting!..sadly this fawning princess of an interviewer never transformed Joan from theatrical musings and delusional reveries into an honest reflective woman on the verge of obscurity ..what truths and insights have been lost forever due to the failures of overly cautious misguided and mishandled interviews with Miss Crawford.

Elizabeth Taylor started out when she was ten, not a teenager as the interviewer states.

Joan was a fighter. One reporter tried to make her feel bad once by asking her how she felt about her rags to riches life story. She responded "what rags? Oh those rags yes indeed I grew up very poor dirt poor I never went passed a six grade education".She was amazing. Her entire education came from the movies.

Vette gaddia Joan Crawford was an Evil Psycho mother, her daughter wrote a book about her after her passing, and theirs a movie about it too called Mommie dearest.

That book is full of lies. Joan's other two daughters said she was the sweetest, most loving mother. Christina just wanted money and attention.

You must be young to say such a thing. Elizabeth has won more Oscars than Joan, winning 2 Best Actress Oscars, and was nominated more times than Joan Crawford. She is one of the best actresses of last century. Her many husbands, is no one business, like she said in her interview with Barbara Walters "Men are intimidated to be Mr. Taylor."

Elizabeth Taylor who was married to Michael Wilding at the time told one reporter that Michael was making his first and last film with Joan Crawford and she also told another reporter that Michael was quite fortunate to play a blind man so he didn't have to look at Joan the entire film. 😆😆

Crawford's criticism of Liz's personal life, was more than likely about Liz and Eddie Fisher and Liz and Richard Burton saga. For example; Liz Taylor and Mike Todd were very close friends with married couple actor Debbie Reynolds and pop singer Eddie Fisher and they all would hangout together a lot. Shortly after Liz Taylor married Mike Todd, Mike Todd died in a plane crash. Liz Taylor was very hurt by his death and would need Eddie Fisher to help her cope with the loss. Eddie Fisher ended up having an affair with Liz while Debbie Reynolds was still married to Eddie Fisher. Eddie Fisher divorced Debbie Reynolds and dated Liz Taylor for a few years before getting married to each other. While Liz was still married to Eddie Fisher, Liz met and had an affair with Cleopatra (the movie) co-star Richard Burton (whom was married at the time). Richard Burton ended up divorcing his wife and Liz Taylor divorced Eddie Fisher and within a year of both divorces, Liz and Richard Burton married each other.

I think it's more like the pot calling the kettle black. Or those who live in glass houses should not cast stones. Or take the log out of your own eye before you take the speck out of your brothers. lol. Sorry for the metaphors. But I think it's just the hypocrisy. Joan was no Sally Saint herself. :)

Joan was a great dame, a noble lady living by traditional values. Her book My Way Of Life proves it. Taylor, on the other hand, was a classless nympho. Miss Crawford only had four husbands - Taylor was married eight times.

Deva7. Crawford was a great actress (I think she and Davis were the best) and I am a great fan if her's, but she was not without defects-just like all of us. She was bisexual and before becoming an actress she sold her body. What I do admire about old Hollywood is that they kept their private lives private, and when they stepped out in public they looked every bit the glamorous movie star. Compared to the garbage we have in Hollywood today.

It must have been so difficult to see what the studios and the movies and movie stars of today have become so much violence, nudity and women and men taking a piss, now that is so disgusting, who wants to see that and why would they think we would want to see it? Today they are not stars as I remember movie stars, Liz, Crawford, Davis, DeHavilland, Stanwick. Those were movie stars, Gable, Fairbanks sr. and jr., Grant, Bogard, so much more. The movies had no curse words besides hell or damn but were great. They could not even say "SEX" for a while except for Mae West, she didn't give a damn about the censors and that's why she went to jail twice in NYC for a stage play called SEX, and another called " HOMOSEXUAL". West, was always for the underdogs and way ahead of her time.

Because back in the day the industry was run by classy men who cared about moral values, whereas now it's run by a bunch of perverts. Miss Crawford would've been very saddened to see what's America become, and all those so called 'movie stars' who can't even speak properly, their only talent being taking their clothes off.

Despicable woman. She gained joy by hurting innocent children. She only adopted them to stay in the press. I wish her daughter would have released Mommie Dearest while Joan was still alive. Of course, I really wish these accusations weren't true for Christina and Chris's sake.
