You know, when I see the chemistry Johnny and Joan had, and see all the times she appeared on the Tonight Show, which included his admitting that they knew each other socially as well (which for Johnny, being exceedingly private, was rare), it really stinks that he cut her off so totally when she tried to launch a talk show of her own. I read somewhere after his death that she tried to reconcile with him when it became known that he was terminal and even then he wouldn't see her. What a damned shame.

She is impersonating the stereotype that jews are waffling complainers
@ProbablySoonerThanLater3 жыл бұрын
She and Johnny are close to the same age so they are familiar with Jewish stereotypes… which stereotype were really more close to the truth…. Joan being Jewish and you see these Jewish types in movies pre-1960s mostly…and of course the Entertainment Industry has MANY Jews in the industry on all levels of the Industry; producers, directors, writers, actors, business execs, and comedians.
