Quick question: I do not see the jobscan app you referred to in the video amongst the drop down info. I do not want to assume the jobscan app for androids I found is "the" one.

Myth #3: Interviewers know...: This is so true! Never assume the interviewer can connect the dots--connect the dots for them!!!! I was in a hospitality interview with four hotel managers recently when one manager noted that I had no formal experience in hospitality. I replied saying I had all the skills they were seeking, only I had previously worked for the client and not the company itself, and I then proceeded to outline the specifics of what I had done and how it related directly to the role in question. Never assume others can see the big picture; be prepared to spell it out for them.

Andy - I was in a job search panic and hired a very high priced firm to support my efforts. While they delivered on the collateral front, for me, the real lift in my search has been your interpersonal coaching. Yes, a slick webfolio makes an impression, your storytelling guidance seals the deal. Thank you!

Here’s a great easy out for recruiters who are lazy; NEPOTISM. The job I last left loved hiring and promoting relatives. I got tired of the nonsense and got out. Your videos have helped tremendously in my find of a new job. I share everyone I know with the KZbin videos you present. Thank you so much

Thsnk you for your videos, I've been getting interviews, have a great looking resume and experience, but my interviews haven't been closing the offer and it's frustrating to say the least. Now with covid, interviews are going the video route and your videos have changed my attitude even with these new hurdles. Do your coaching sessions include feedback on how someone comes across on video? Thanks for all you're doing to help.
@andylacivita4 жыл бұрын
Hi Nika! I most certainly can provide you feedback on that especially because my coaching sessions are done via video and recorded for you to see!

Hi Andy, I really like your videos and flow of explanation. Can you please provide hints or tips on how to tackle job interview with Senior Directors . Scenario is ‘You went through 3 interviews with department head, director and one of the team member. Now employer comes back saying we have one more round with Senior Director who owns multiple departments across that vertical.’ Thanks for your support and keep doing good work of sharing wonderful knowledge. Thanks and Regards, Akshay Ramesh Dhole

Hey Tiffany! Normally, I am on KZbin every Thursday at 12 PM ET, but last week and this week I have been live with my job search boot camp program. I will be back in a week or so or maybe sooner. Hopefully you are on my email list (and subscribed here) so you get the announcement. I might be going live on an off day. Also, please don't miss this live, free event: www.milewalkacademy.com/p/andrew-lacivita-resume-writing-live-masterclass. It was a raging success when I did it back in September. I had a second phone interview a couple days ago. I was told in the first interview I was going to get a Zoom link emailed to me shortly for a second phone interview in the next day at 5pm. I never received one and got a phone call from the company at the time I was told. I was confused and did not think I was going to the next round. The interviewer said he gueses he messed that one up and then at the end I get the do I have any questions for him. I was caught off guard not expecting a second interview and did not have any questions gathered... and now its been about 6-7 days without hearing anything back. Lol

Hey Andy. Great video and awesome information, as always. I am facing a written round of an interview. During the first interview, I was only told that the next round will be a written part, but they could not share what it would look like. So I am kind of stuck and not sure how I can prepare not knowing what’s coming. I am doing some interviewing as well, and sometimes we do written rounds as well, and we keep it usually scenario based so we can identify if the interviewee is technically skilled to do the job. Do you have any pro tips, dos and don’ts, for a written interview round in general? Thanks again. All the best from Ireland!

I like his videos.. pretty good and informative. but he spends way too much time talking and telling what he is going to talk about, he is going to get right to the point, because he doesnt want to waste time giving a bunch of information that is not going to help, so right to the point we go, because if he just tells us a bunch of useless information.. so he doesnt want to do like a lot of video makes do and ... get the point? your videos are informative and good but get to the point quicker
