Jocelyn Bell Burnell recognised at last (UK) - BBC News - 6th September 2018

Professor Dame Jocelyn Bell Burnell discovered a new type of star 50 years ago, but it was her male colleagues who took the Nobel honour in 1974 and she wasn't even mentioned. Now she has finally been awarded and the £2 million prize she wants to set up for women, ethnic minorities and refugees, that may not have a chance to study physics without an opportunity.
