Thx Jocko! The usefulness of this extends just so far beyond the setting of an interrogation into just about all things inter-personal!

I really love your ability to dissect complex topics and present them in a digestible way is commendable. The episode not only sheds light on interrogation tactics but also prompts broader reflections on communication and understanding in various aspects of life. It got me thinking about the profound discussions my life coach @LisaHaisha had during her impactful retreat in the Philippines. Lisa often delved into effective communication and understanding, aligning with the importance of connection discussed in your podcast. Her teachings emphasized the power of empathy and active listening in fostering meaningful relationships. Thank you for consistently delivering content that challenges our thinking and encourages continuous growth!

1:06:00 - 1:09:35 I used to work in sales at many dealerships & those 3 words are key that Echo said: Genuine, relationship, communication 👏 . Jocko added in acting tactically, since the online market expanded the knowledge of the consumer. Now a consumer isnt just a number, but a vessel for future relationship. Youll keep clients, stating communivatively that both sides Have to win🏆

So cool you guys brought up interrogation techniques! It sounds really scary but it's probably the single most important tool if our goal is to "Seek first to listen and understand before talking to be understood." It's estimated that tone and body language make up something like 75% of the data we receive when listening and watching. The military interrogators over at @TheBehaviorPanel would be awesome guests on the Jocko pod. It's this skill that is so underdeveloped across the board in the world, in my opinion at least.

What's absurd is how often online you can instantly identify ai bots because they reflect bits of information based on who is in the audience due to the easy access to marketing profiling info to make them seem relatable and provoke similar stories from people who don't realize it's gathering key reactions and not actually a person who can contribute back to a relationship.

Just like having a map before orienteering, reading a US Army manual offers some outlines of the subject but it is as far removed from the actual experience as looking at a map and actually hiking in terrain, or in challenging weather+these manuals are typically published after protocols and tactics have changed.

I notice that too, that I'm stronger in the afternoon. Think it's because when training in the morning, especially if you haven't eaten, you've been fasting for 8 or so hours. But in the afternoon you've had plenty to eat and restored all the glycogen in your muscles and have plenty of fuel for the workout 🤷♂️

the ultimate way of interrogation, or to work on all sides, or to get all information, or sense of character, or past 1. create a sickening environment, or where there are carcasses, screams, or a sense of doom, or hellish prison, or the actual place should be a preview of Perdition, or mutilation 2. realize that fear of what's gonna happen is almost more important than what the methods, or extraction tactics are 3. the methods have to be horrific, gory if necessary, brutal, or give a sense of dominion, or that of total control to the interrogators, or perhaps futility of relief 4. saying, or creating a space where there's no medical help, or that of stopping bleeding, brain trauma, or favor to the orderly, respectful, or that tell the truth is decisive, however perhaps not necessary 5. in a proper interrogation center, or one strips the target of sense of self, place, rank, or even past, or that to give a feeling that neither parents, school, home, or culture exists, or that all those don't count, or could save the individual 6. realize that a blend of methods are also effective, or that poisons that work slowly, or delirium, then also fire, electricity, or acid has effect, one could add nerve gas in non - fatal dosages 7. ultimately the goal is to get information, not to needlessly kill, maim, or degrade enemies, or targets to nothing, or one should find the best, or most effective way to get what one wants, or then stop there 8. to actually perform special tactics on captured, or involuntary soldiers, citizens, or VIPs one has to be rather tough, or also realize the importance, or consequences of not getting the information, or one could add the talent of rare soldiers that are mildly detached, or have iffy psychopathic character

▶️Very good principles for anything in life, thanks Echo & Jocko. Applies to the Word 🎺Hebrews 12:14-15 Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord 🎺Luke 11:17 But he, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste & a divided household falls. 🎺Proverbs 6:16-19 There are 6 things that the Lord hates, 7 that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, & one who sows discord among brothers.

Ask. Build trust.
