The people who are saying the background vocals sounded bad, here: are we listening to the same video? Yeah they went a little flat in a few spots, but overall they did a damn good job! Go listen to the acapella version and you'll see that the harmony is exactly how it's supposed to be. What's probably throwing people off is that on the record, the bottom parts of the harmony were mixed at a lower level than the highs (as is usually how harmonies are mixed), whereas in this performance, whoever is singing the bottom has their mic leveled higher, so it sounds a bit different. Jodeci may be "studio singers" TODAY, but back in the 90's they were the real deal. All four of them.
