Nay! Albeit I am lettered and love to read, 'twas most simple to follow the patois of both centuries. The word "malarkey" is a term that fell into disuse about 50 years ago. I'm not a Biden fan, but I have to congratulate whoever it was on his campaign staff that came up with this. Without doing a search I honestly couldn't tell you what the current campaign slogan of most of the Democratic field is (and I pay an unusual amount of attention to politics), but I can sure tell you what Biden's is. As the Trump campaign taught us, it doesn't matter if people are laughing as long as the press keeps giving you free coverage.

Well, shenanigans is defined as : 1a: a devious trick used especially for an underhand purpose. 2a: tricky or questionable practices or conduct -usually used in the plural. b: high-spirited or mischievous activity -usually used in the plural. I think of shenanigans as an action, like a trick, questionable practice or mischievous activity. malarkey is more about the talk: The word malarkey, meaning “insincere or exaggerated talk,” originally found favor in Irish-American usage, though its exact origin remains unknown. That's why I know it. I am an Irish American. I remember hearing "that's a load of blarney." Not malarkey.
