I wonder how many of the Earth’s population doesn’t know, or quite understand the greatness of this guy. He’s the best guitarist on the planet, hands down, and it saddens me that more people aren’t aware of his greatness.. I’m sure many people are aware, but mastery should be known the world over. This was Joe at his best. This was the best band he ever had. Best songs he ever did and a bulletproof album full of them. Carmine Rojas and Tal Bergman were such on the money players and what a magical combination together. Rick Melick, a producer in his own right, added such tastefull and emotional atmosphere and space to the arrangements on keyboards This was when Joe Bonamassa was, legitimately, solid gold, The Blues Rock Titan. This gig was flawless and was the very first thing, by accident, I ever saw of him and I was stunned and thinking, who the hell is this guy, why haven't I ever seen or heard of him. This mega powerhouse mountain of a bad ass guitar man in a Versace suite and dark shades, of all things. I immediately ordered the CD and DVD combo the next day, it was part of a public Television fund raiser, they were showing this gig and talking with him. I listened to that CD in the car for months. After this he went off on tangents I just don't think was him and I was very disappointed. Bring back the badass blue and evil bombastic Blues Rock Titan. I miss him.
