It never mattered what they were singing because Joe Bonsall and the Oaks were the most exciting act in the History of both Gospel and Country Music. Joe always reminded me of Mick Jagger in the high energy he had on stage....I always thought Mick good have been that good had he known the Lord the way Joe did. Got to see Joe and the Oaks back in the mid 1980s in Memphis. Joe loved to dance and tonight he is dancing in Heaven with the Angels along with his Mom and Dad and President Bush and so many more. Rest In Peace Joe Bonsall.

I first met the Oaks in person at Ponderosa Park in Salem, OH in 1983. Joe posed for photos while sitting on my Honda Gold Wing with my 5 year old son. Over the years, we saw Joe and the Boys perform over 20 times. We're really going to miss you, Joe!

Wow, he had so many health issues it's a wonder that he performed as long as he did. So thankful I got to see him at the Nebraska State Fair last year. He sang his heart out. ❤

They used to play the Star Theater in Merriville Indiana every New Year’s Eve for years. We used to go see them there every year, plus anytime they were in the Indiana area. Probably saw them over a dozen times. I will miss Joe and the Oaks tremendously. Now that the Oak Ridge Boys and the Statler Brothers are gone, there will probably never be a group like them again. THE END OF AN ERA!

I always enjoyed watching him on stage. He was energetic and his love of what he was doing always came through loud and clear. He was so passionate about the songs they sung, and their image as decent men. I have always been and will remain a fan of The Oakridge Boys. Heaven has just added another choir member to sing to our Savior forever.

I was blessed to see him perform at the Oak Ridge Boys Christmas concert in Wisconsin Dells in December. He sat on a stool the entire time he was on stage and had to be helped off the stage at the end. But, he sounded great and had a smile on his face. After getting home I googled the ORB and looked up their ages and wondered how much longer they could keep going. Now we know. God Bless you, Joe.

I met Joe in the mid ‘60 at EBI in Green Lane, PA. He and the Keystone Quartet were ministering at the Bible College youth camp. I met Richard soon afterwards when he and his family began to attend the First Assembly of God Church in Mechanicsburg PA. I saw the Oak Ridge Boys in concerts many times over the past 50 years. We will all miss you and cherish fond memories of you Joe, and will be with you forever in the home Jesus has prepared for us. ❤️🙏
