We have never won a SuperBowl. The players have changed and we have had some great ones. The common denominator is the front office. We cannot put the right talent on the field to support our star players and that is on Zac, Katie and IMO especially Tobin. That is where it all starts. When your QB is putting up MVP performances and you are 4-8 that is on the front office. It isn't just who you can count on in the locker room. It is who can you count on to make the right decisions in player acquisition and talent evaluation. As a 50 year Bengals fan I have never witnessed a greater and steeper decline. When they were bad we didn't expect much. But expectations were high and thus the disappointment is as well.

Last year the defense was a** and yet little was done to improve it. They resigned Vonn Bell but what we really needed was a quality replacement for Jessie Bates. DJ Reader was let go (I know he had injury issues) but who did we have to replace him? Sheldon Rankins has done nothing. These issues are not just Anarumo's decisions this is Zac Taylor and Duke Tobin with the final say so on what the roster is. Replacing an assistant coach or two ( or three or four) wont solve the issues. You need a better head coach and a better GM (or at least a coach with the chops to tell Tobin and Mike Brown who he wants and needs on the team). They replaced good players with cheap cast off free agents.

Personally, I think Joe is attempting to damage control with the media to ensure the public that changes will be made. Yes, he has to skate around it. But it's bad publicity for you and your team to be talking bad about a certain core of them. It's sportsmanship 101, and something that's not typically taught. Burrow is a class act, and I'm sure he's had much more direct talks with staffs/coaches and players aside from what we get from the media.

With all their mistakes on defense yesterday, all they had to do was stop Fields at the end of the game, to give our offense a shot. Even the announcers said what the Steelers were going to do on that play, but no one on our defense saw it. It's a clown show on the defensive side of the ball...I watched them hesitate all game and repeatedly give the Steelers first downs before they were tackled. ADG couldn't stop drawing penalties, and him and Pratt combined couldn't match the production of Logan Wilson. Missing Logan for this game was like missing Mike Hilton for the first Ravens game.

I saw statistic today, Tom Brady during the course of his 20 year career, when he scored at least 31 points he only lost four games TOTAL. In his entire career!!!! Joe lost that many just this season 😂

Steelers fan here. Damn, you guys sure do have a QB who is just terrifying to play against. He may be the best in the league this year. I’m happy that we got the win, but I wanted to come and say that we have respect for y’all. GOTTA fix that defense, tho. Russ hit more passes over the middle of the field than he had the rest of the season combined.

Gotta fire the entire defensive coaching staff. As many holes as they have to fill, they actually still have way too much talent on defense to be this bad. Its a direct reflection on the coaching staff. You could actually have one of the worst defenses in the league and with good coaching still find a way to win games when your offense puts up 38 points.

Decisions made this season that were just for fun: Tag Tee Rankins for Reader Geno Stone Not paying Chase Moving on from Boyd Moving on from Mixon New OC Not bolstering the pass rush Duke isn't a bad GM, that was just a bad year. Joe might get comeback player of the year for the second time. Ja'marr might get the triple crown. Trey might get a defensive accolade. There's at least some novelty items left to chase.

Davis Gaither was atrocious. Facemasks pass interference missed tackles etc. And it wasn't the wrs catching passes. It was the rbs and TEs. So the LBs sucked. What do you do when you extend guys and they don't perform the way they did before? That's not duke's fault

What gets me fired up was at end of game when Pittsburgh was 3rd down n there was still almost 2.00 mins in game n steelers put back up quarterback in game n Lou didnt have anyone stay home to tackle quarterback from getting 1st down. If we make that play we would have had time on clock for the best quarterback n football to have time to win game. Bengals knew he pretty much was going to keep ball n run . one thing for sure we'll still have Joe next year.
