correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems that when you demo it there's several times when you do an extra baby scratch after the tear and before the chirps. And, sometimes it seems like you just do two fast babies and then three chirps. Am I wrong?
@electricalissue48464 жыл бұрын
How is it possible to do a tear that quickly? I’m amazed.

Do you kind of scribble those really quick tears in between the chirps? I can't seem to get that sound down.

Can't I use the volume control instead of the fader?
@studioscratches10 жыл бұрын
if you wish! A crossfader might have a tighter cut in point thought and be easier.

I've been digging for a good tutorial for a while. You have skills and you know how to teach it man. Thanks a lot. Please continue. You're the best out there so far...
@daboerne11 жыл бұрын
i think if you do it fast, the back movement is not a tear, its just a scribble. i think acutally this combo is a scribble with 3 chirps.

What technique do you use to perform the rhythm change (triplets?) at 5:20? Sounds great. Need to get that into my Joe Cooley to vary it up. Thanks
@PhilosBias200012 жыл бұрын
I like your version of the joe cooley scratch da best but how come theres so many variations from dj to dj?????how long did it take you to get decent at combining diff patterns of scratches???

I found this a little bit awkward always fitting the full flair in as the chirp sounds best when starting the scratch just before the sample starts

Hey DJ Short-e! As always, thanks for the great tutorials! Just wondering if you pull the record back 3 or more times on the tear when you go fast? Sounds a lot slicker than a simple fast tear! Thanks!

@0marbrav030 at about 4:49 she is saying "oh yea" not " i am" which is at the beginning of a live recording from RUN DMC named "live at the funhouse" it starts by DMC saying "oh yea,check this out". if you want "i am" , a few seconds in he says "i am". He says "i am dmc,funky fresh for '83". that question is 2 years old but hey, its the answer.me and my friends made a game of identifying scratches.
