As one of the last guitarists to ever back this man in concert, I can say I truly miss him. His loves ranged from pretty women, the Good Book and his love for Jesus, Courvoisier and Ginger Ale, soul music, his incredible devotion to his fans, and his respect for my mom and dad. I will never forget him, nor our time together. Rest in Peace Champ.

CLASS, A HUMBLE GENTLEMEN! I was 14 yrs old 1978, met Mr. Frazier at a MDA fundraiser in Westchester County, NY. I'm a nobody he had nothing to gain speaking with me. He spoke with me for about 10 minutes. Then 4 or so other teenagers joined in. He signed every Autograph gave life advice. It made a difference all these years later I remember every word of advice he gave. God Bless RIP Joe Frazier

Yeah those fights from the 70s with all the greats that are now passed away I will always remember. I followed all the fights from the 70s which was the best era for me growing up. I remember in a local papers here in the sports sections when Ali fought his picture and story was practically on the whole front page of the sports section! I wish I saved a lot of those clippings but I didn't because I was 17 18 years old and didn't think you're saving them. But Ali and Frazier are my favorites all my life. God bless all of them.
@fitzgeraldanthony93333 жыл бұрын
What 😳??!!! I'll be Darn! Joe Frazier actually could sing a tune and with FEELING. Yes he could have used Some fine tuning but the core substance is there and he emotes feelings pretty well. I ALWAYS Had the utmost respect for Mr. Frazier as a sincere family man, hardworking, down to earth human being with a heart of gold. And what a PROUD champion he was in that ring. Joe had a TRUE WARRIORS Mindset and it was his defeat to Foreman when he got up 6 times, that we saw that fighters heart. It's a disgusting shame and disgrace that for so many years the people of Philadelphia allowed a statue of a fictitious character to be its flagship bearer of a fighting champion, when they had a true giant of a warrior at heart right there in the flesh in Joe Frazier. Sure they corrected that indignity, that WRONG by finally doing the right thing and taking down that Balboa garbage and erecting a statue in honor of Mr. Frazier. But the fact that it took so long Is a thorough disgrace. It says something about the people in Philly in my eyes that they stayed quiet on this for so long. Mr. Frazier was a MAN In that ring and a bigger one outside of it. RIP Smoking Joe.
