I'm also a single mom and my husband also passed away. Rooting for her now as a BA fighter, and just as a person. Cat, you will never read this..but I have the same issues from PTSD and many of the things you describe going through are exactly me. I have tried every way you can imagine, including being hypnotized(Didn't work🤣), just to force myself better. I'm going to look into this therapy now that you have used it, this could really help someone listening. Thank you for bravely sharing your truth, and showing me that we are never truly alone in our struggles. It could always be worse, and it won't get better with inaction. Mental illness can create a daily struggle to find a sense of peace..inside your own thoughts. Working out, running, and getting myself physically exhausted has helped channel some of the symptoms. I'm tired of meds and endless trial and error..so here goes nothing! Anyone going through mental health issues, you are not alone, seek help, you got this.❤

Q TIP thank you for your comment. I don't see the relevance of her personal life in regards to the real life mental health issues I'm saying that WE share. I struggle to fight my way through on a daily basis and she described that as a stranger. I didn't watch a video about her personal life. Agree to disagree.

Antidepressants are not inherently bad. They have saved a lot of lives in very bad situations. The problem is, we just don't know enough about the science behind them yet and are prescribing them in a very scattershot fashion, like 1970s chemo for the mind.

Some of the new therapies she's talked about can help with cte and other head trauma related problems, but no, we can not reverse or repair all the damage. Pot though it definitely can be a solution for many medical problems, conditions, issues, is very complex, with thousands of different strains, different Cannabinoids and other constituents that cause different chemical or physiological responses in the body (such as Terpines). So Cannabis is like thousands of drugs in one, and finding the right one for you which works for your specific conditions (without unwanted side effects) can be difficult.

When it comes to SSRI medications, what works for one person may not work for the next. It sometimes takes a few tries to find the medication that works best for you. While I can respect that Cat Zingano did not have a positive experience on the one medication she tried, a responsible prescriber would have informed her that to begin with, SSRI meds take 4-6 weeks to reach therapeutic levels. Secondly, sometimes it takes a few medications to find the one that works best for your body. I like Joe Rogan, but I really feel he needs to stay in his lane here. While I always believe that psychiatric medication is a personal choice, it is a personal choice that have increased quality (and sometimes quantity!) of life for many people.
@GCT19902 жыл бұрын
Everything you just said tells me your not a intelligent person, you realize you aren't suppose to be on antidepressants long term right? You realize there's no evidence that they work beyond 3 months and there's no safety studies anywhere beyond 6 months. People are so misinformed about psychiatry it's unreal... The reason it takes 4-6 weeks is because ethey need time to disable your brain that's literally how they work, they disable the brain they are literally a neurotoxin. "What's works for some may not for others?" YOU AREN'T SUPPOSE TO BE ON THEM, if they're working for you that's not a good thing. That means they've successfully injured your Central Nervous system (Brain and Spinal cord) and what is a informed doctor with these medications? None of them are informed there's no research beyond 6 months lol, it's all observational and epidemiological which centers around puesdoscience lol read how the DSM-5 was created to see the horrors of psychiatry. I will leave you links you need to read, there's a reason people are upset with Psychiatry people are killing themselves once tolerance withdrawal kicks in. You could be on for 20 plus years but eventually you will damage the brain so much that the pills no longer work causing withdrawal hell SSRI's, SNRI, Antipsychotics and Benzodiazepines are highly linked to dementia, MS, ALS and Nervous system injury. Your doctor knows only what the drug company Rep decides to tell them haha this is well known. You actually said that sometimes it takes multiple medications... Are you insane or crazy? You want to disable the brain faster? And yes I get it, people are suffering with made up diagnoses to which yes, over 87% of the DSM-5 diagnoses are made up and voted on with no scientific research anywhere showing that they exist, you are littling and willining hurting yourself but the worst part is that you're trusting you're doctor who knows less then you, again there's no research beyond 6 months.
